Hi! Just starting a new job tomorrow. It's an Assistant Activities Director at a nursing/rehab home. I was wondering if anyone could give me any tips or details as what the job includes. Never done this b4 and they know it. So any help to calm my nerves would help. Thanks! I do know kinda what they do... distribute mags, help with the activities, things like that but hoping someone who is one could give me a little more detail.

I work fulltime for a nonprofit organization. Recently they've come out and said that my department(nursing) will now become universal. Few coworkers have quit due to unfair job requirements. They have made no plans in replacing those employees but instead putting their workload on others. An example: we have no activity director so that went to the housekeeper who quit now its our job(nursing) to do activities and now housekeeping. As my job work increases they still have no intention of decreasing the workload. They also have no intentions of increasing pay or temporary pay increase and I've learned recently they plan on denying my benefits like vacation because they don't want to hire more for our extremely understaffed facility. This form of exploitation is common in this field and they've ignored everything about overworking us.
