Field Services Director Job Questions & Answers

I've spent the first 10 years of my adult life behind a desk doing customer service/data entry/admin and I'm tired of staring at a computer all day. I am open to just about anything, but the pay has to be at least $40k gross. I have a wife and three kids to provide for, so I can't afford to take a pay cut. I'm employed currently, so I'm not desperate. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

I am doing an essay for my English class, and we are supposed to research what we planned for our future career. I planned on getting into Graphic Arts, so I need to know what the different fields inside that are. Like I know animation, logo designing, website designing, and such are all inside of it, but I need to know if there is more. Can anyone list any other fields inside of graphic arts, or perhaps direct me to a website that answers this well?

I am the director of my department. I had a difficult employee who quit after about a year under my management. I believe he feels that I usurped his position and holds a very serious grudge against me. I found my property in his desk when he left. Now my boss hired him back to work in another department (6 mos later) and he is already being very weird! I feel physically threatened. What are my rights? Anyone been in this situation? How do I document this, and to whom do I complain?

I know that most funeral homes are family owned and I heard that it was difficult to find a job in this field but I thought I could manage. I've been trying to find an internship lately though and no one will hire me. I know it isn't just me because I'm professional, well spoken and good looking. I've never had trouble finding a job before. I'm also already a funeral services student at a board certified school so it isn't like I'm just some random person off the street.
