 | I've been thinking about getting my FAA license to be a dispatcher for some time now, and I'm able to get some time free to do it.
I'm wondering if things are improving in the passenger airline industry and if there will be jobs available in the future. Seems like many programs advertise that their students often get job offers while they're in school.

 | Hello Everyone,
I have completed my Comp Sci Engineering From Chennai (India). I am totally not interested in IT Sector or domain, Before Joining Engineering i was very keen & interested in doing some course related to Aviation, A dream too So I Tried my best for applying in Commercial Pilot Course in Canada unfortunately Due to some personal reasons couldn't go ahead. Well Now i have a chance of doing a "FLIGHT DISPATCHER" Course in "EMIRATES AVIATION COLLEGE" UAE ( Dubai) but still i am confused whether will i have a good future ahead because i wasted my 4 years in this engineering which is totally not of use. So it will be a great honour if you people please give me your opinions or suggestions regarding this whether Emirates College is a right choice? Flight Dispatcher is a Good goal or correct Domain for me?
Thank You,
Regards,
Liyaqath

 | I am 30 years old and am interested in looking for a career change in aviation. I currently work for southwest airlines (5 years and counting) and have an FAA airline dispatching license, but I want to take my career to another level and improve my resume and experience by going into either the air force or navy reserve. I have a bachelor and a masters degree. However they are in marketing and sports management. At the time when I was in school I wanted to be a sports agent, but I wasn't really a big fan of the industry as I found out that it was too shady and cutthroat. Anyways, I found a new passion in aviation which was a passion I have had since I was a kid so I am trying to pursue a career as a dispatcher or whatever I can in aviation. I know I'm too old to be a pilot in the military which is fine and I have talked to a recruiter in the air force, took the ASVAB and scored above average, passed the physical but I have not signed the contract yet because I don't know what job to pick. I also would like to see what the navy has in store as well as it might have more opportunities for me. I have not taken an oath yet for the airforce so i can still look at the navy if I want to. I would like a job that deals with flight and weather planning along with organizing aviation charts and maps. However, I'm starting to wonder whether I should start to see if I can go into it as an officer. The recruiter at the air force said because I have a degree in business the only officer position I may get is in finance or something of that nature which I have no interest in doing and I don't want to get stuck in the military with a job I don't want. The recuiter did say that I can go in enlisted and start off as a SENIOR AIRMEN straight out of BMT and tech school then go for an NCO or apply for a commissioned officer program which I heard is almost impossible nowadays. I don't know if the navy is the same. i need to talk to a recruiter for them as well. I guess my question is what should I do as far joining enlisted or officer? Should I go enlisted and hope for the best. Also is the Navy a better option than the air force. I know I'm asking a lot but any help would be great.
Also, was my recruiter correct when she said the air force puts more emphasis on the actual degree you have? Because I hear the army and marines will take anyone with any type of degree. Is the Navy the same way?

 | I’m planning on doing my CFI program with them, and I want to know if they really do guarantee a CFI job, or that’s just a false advertisement.

 | I am currently in the last year of school . i would like to become a commercial pilot . but i've recently had doubts of the scope that the aviation industry would have in the next ten yrs(which presume would be the average time for me to get a cpl). is it a good idea to get a degree in aviation as soon as i am done with school . should i opt for another alternative degree before gettin into aviation , incase i don't make it out as a pilot? what other courses would be ideal to secure a job.

 | What are some good airport ground operation career's that pay good and are generally interesting.
What are those people who walk with the plane with a headset connected below the flight deck window when then plane is pushing back called? Is that a good paying job?
I really want to work in the aviation industry.
Can someone give me a few good jobs in and around the airport that arent overly boring or crap.

 | Currently I'm attending college and trying do earn my AS in pilot training, but its rather expensive and I found out I'm a couple of classes away from being able to receive my airport management certification. So I guess my main question would be, will that aid me in finding a new job at an airport?
