Lots of coverage, not a lot of detail about the new stimulus package. What kind of jobs are supposed to be being created? How do unemployed citizens find information about which jobs will be created in their local areas, and how to apply for these jobs or appropriate training programs?

I'm putting around 15 DVDs in my luggage (they are all in safe packaging), but I was wondering if there would be any damage to them going through any of the machines? I'm sure there won't, but I'm just double checking because it would be very expensive to replace all of them. Thank you!

George Bush took the information he was given and stated Iraq had weapons of mass destruction. (nuclear weapons) Many on the left say he lied many on the right just say he was wrong. President Obama took the information he was given and he determined the stimulus package would keep unemployment below 8? Many on the left say he was just wrong and many on the right say he lied. I think they both were just wrong.

What legislation has passed while Obama has been president, there were the stimulus packages(I think AIG and the Motor), the energy plan, the abortion thing and the Guantanamo Gitmo Closure. I know this is an incomplete list, if anyone could list all the legislation passed and/or a link to where I can find it I would be very thankful.

Do you think the grumpy TSA inspector has another job lined up "I'm a federal employee." I don't know if you are on the high or low end of the pay scale, but public employees should not be making more than private employees - or you can trade in some of your benefits, like a pretty cushy pension. Benefits was a way to balance lower wages, but they aren't lower anymore. I blame the private sector for nothing maintaining wage increases as well - but it's not sustainable to have high paying government jobs. I personally wouldn't ask for pay cuts for people making less than $50,000/yr though.

Who controls these issues? First it was Ecoli in our vegetables and spinich - an attack on healthy people. Then it was Ecoli in Peter Pan peanut butter - an attack on our kids lunches. Now its tainted pet food! Who isn't doing their job in protecting the American consumer? What kind of bio war are we in the middle of? We can no longer eat without some manmade mistake or chemical threatening our lives! What can we do to feel safer? Who can these issues be traced too? What has happened to Health inspections and the people paid to keep us all safe?

I had a package the post office claimed was delivered but I was home and no delivery attempt was made. I asked the neighbors and they did not receive anything. The seller refused to send another for free because delivery confirmation shows it was delivered. So because I need it and few other sellers have it, I re ordered the item this time with signature confirmation. Now this is really f****d up. Someone signed the package in my name and misspelled my name. They were given the package (or it was the postal worker who stole it) and misspelled my name first and last name in the print your name section!! I called the 1800 USPS number and was told that because the packages are marked as delivered there is NOTHING they can or will do. I asked about my name being misspelled by the person who signed my package and about the fact that *I* was in another state at the time and have the toll records to prove it. Again they did not care. I was given a case number for the first stolen package and was told I would be called within 1 business day. But I was not. I called them multiple times and left a number of messages. When I called about the second package with the false signature, and the proof I have that I was in another state and that no one in my household has hand writing that looks anything like that. Again I was told that really there is nothing they can or will do other than give me a meaningless case number and a number where my calls are not returned. It seems so wrong that such blatant theft or incompetence is allowed to happen and I have no recourse despite irrefutable proof that at least one package was blatantly stolen and/or that the postal worker was completely incompetent. There has to be something I can do. I did file a complaint with the postal I inspector but according to the website they do not actually help you find your package they just record crimes. The person is not stealing from our doorstep 1- on both days OTHER packages from the USPS arrived safely while this one (expensive) item had no delivery attempt made. 2- on both days someone was home to sign for the other packages that were delivered by the USPS. 3- I have filed a complaint with the inspectors office as mentioned above. But as mentioned above they DO NOT track your package or help you to locate it. They only record reports and state that you will NOT be followed up on. 4- this is Brooklyn ny a police report was filed and it will be ignored because they have better things to do. 5- I don't see how I could fake my own false signature when I was out of state and can prove it.
