 | So I am looking into joining the Military. I went to recruiters of every branch and have narrowed it down to two. The National Guard and Marine Corps.
National Guard- I like how in the Guard, you get to stay in your home Area (except for when you are activated and all that) and that you get to keep your job and go to school (I want to go to trade school). I also like that you get to help in your community. If I joined the guard I would want to join as Infantry, MP, cav scout, tanker, Electrician, Combat engineer, Fire support specialist or some kind of Mechanic.
Marines- If I joined the USMC, I would NOT go reserves (the nearest reserve station is hours away and only has positions for Admin personnel. Full time would be great because I get to get out of my state for a while (Although leaving my family would be kind of tough for 4-6 years would be tough as my family really needs me around here). If I joined the Marine Corps I would like to join Infantry, Armor, Artillery, Logistics/Supply, Helicopter/Aircraft Mechanics, Vehicle Maintenince, Motor T or Utilities.
Im having a tough time deciding. I recently lost weight and I am in fairly good shape so I think I can handle the physical part.
