 | HVAC was my first thought but when I heard building automation was more on the technical side, I think I would like building automation systems a little more. Where can find information on the job outlook or employment growth and need for building automation technicians? Are there any companies or programs in Atlanta,GA that have paid apprentice jobs that require no experience for building automation or HVAC? What is the required education level for this type of work?

 | I just graduated from the electronics engineering technician program at Niagara College. Everywhere I have applied to jobs all around the world and the only responses Ive recieved explain taht I need more experience. What did some of you do right out of school? I was set to join the military but health problems are now keeping me out indefinitely. Where is the best place in the world to get an entry level job for electronics?
Please forgive the grammar and typing mistakes.

Is it more contracted work or is it work at one specific company in one location everyday? Is it very physical? Does it involve a lot of math? What are the best certifications to have in BAS? What is the biggest concentration in this occupation? Are there alot of jobs in this industry? What are some of the different job titles in BAS? Are there any other professions similar that can be obtained with the education and training from BAS? If someone could answer some or all these questions I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

 | I have been looking at various job future sites, but have been thus far unable to find information specific to this industry in the province of Ontario. I am an under-employed teacher and want to change careers in order to obtain steady employment, and my wife wants to remain close to her family in Ontario. I am considering a 2 year MLIS or a 2 year distance technician diploma. Any insights, relevant links, and information appreciated!

 | I am an electrical engineer major in Automation control (Programmable Logical Controlers) and I was laid off since February 2009. I am feeling desperate because I feel very consumed with my survival jobs to apy my bills and also I have been in many interviews without success. I am feeling alone facing my pain and would love to connect with other people at the same boat as me. I am looking fro an internship or any activity I can do to stay close to my field.
Your answers are very welcome!

 | Ok sorry if this is long but please take the time to read this.
I graduated 4 years ago with a degree in chemical engineering. I am on my 3rd job since graduation, working as an automation engineer for a consulting company where I set up process control systems. Basically I spend the majority of my time sitting in a cubicle configuring process control strategies for chemical plants, power plants, pharmaceutical manufacturing plants, etc. Even though it's not a bad job, it really isn't my passion at all and I'm getting bored out of control with it. I can't see myself doing this stuff for the rest of my life. I feel what I do has such a small impact on anything or anyone. Even though I enjoy being around people, I'm not the most outgoing person in the world but I definitely don't feel like the cubicle life fits me at all. I would love a job where I can help people and impact them directly, as well as be able to interact with people on a daily basis other than my few socially awkward, geeky cube mates (don't mean to be offensive but it's the truth).
Therefore, I'm thinking about switching my career to pharmacy. Optometry and medical research would be two potential other choices but I believe I would enjoy pharmacy the most. I love interacting with and helping people, and would love to work in the medical field, but nothing messy or one that requires another 10 years of school. I would actually love to work in a hospital and leave the corporate, office cubicle life behind for good. I would like to be a hospital or clinical pharmacist and eventually get into oncology pharmacy. My mom works as an ophthalmic technician (checks peoples eyes) and I envy her so much because she loves her job and gets to work in a hospital or clinic meeting new people and helping them see better.
I'm only 25, still single, and think it's now or never to make this move. There's an accelerated pharmacy program near me that will take 3 years to complete after I finish taking my prerequisites. Do you think this would be a worthwhile change? I don't want to make the same mistake I made before and get into something I will regret. Or would there be any other good options I have? Thanks for your time.
