I have many opportunites to work in the USA but the companies do not do sponsorship..does anyone have a list of sponsoring companies for auto/fleet mechanics in Orange County..California? I have over 15 yrs of fleet experience. I am a Canadian and Italian citizen. Or do you know of any other way to legally enter the USA permanently to live and work?( I do not have any immediate family in the USA, I am not eligible for a TN Visa (auto mechanics are not on the Nafta list) and I am already married, so these three ways won't work for me) I will pay all required fees to obtain a green card or working visa.

There are guys that become pilots in a very short amount of time, same goes for aircraft mechanics. It would take somebody "on the outside" at least 6-7 months to get just a private (if they went everyday) and several years to do the same amount that Airforce guys do in a month or 2 (and they go from average grounded person to where they solo in a T-6 or something withing a few months). And the Airforce trainees make it seem easy too.

How do they maintain their vehicles? Does each park or forest have a garage and a team of mechanics or do they farm out to local businesses? Does it depend on the size of the park and fleet? Do they use more diesel vehicles than gasoline or are they switching to alternative fuel vehicles?

It seems like an extremely interesting business to own and it would be amazing to do so. I'm only a teenager and I think that it would be a great job to own, to have a fleet of limos and just handle everything from a business standpoint. It seems as if it would be profitable, and at the same time enjoyable. Any insight? Thanks!
