 | Think about "raw" jobs. Jobs that aren't office work. Jobs that involved physical labor, jobs where conditions are not at all spectacular or safe.
Just a few: woodcutter, miner, prostitute.
What occupations make life difficult?
Can you think of any else?

 | Does that mean we really want to be Communists!!!!!! I just asked the question, "what kind a job do you want your kids to get when they grow up?"
Gee they seemed like nice level headed people only two already had government jobs but the rest worked for companies both big and small.
Or is there something More sinister going on here?
Has the American Dream become an American Joke? and people are finally saying it out loud?????
So what kind of job do you wat for your kid to grow up and get?

 | I am a British Citizen, and my Grandad is Canadian, and I am thinking about taking a career break in Vancouver for a year on a working visa.
I am a Construction Laborer with Bricklaying qualifications but I am not time served and only semi-skilled. I am 24, so I have around 6 years experience in manual labour, and 2 of that as a Bricklayer journeyman/hod carrier/improver.
Is there jobs in Vancouver like this? I was thinking about maybe trying to get into some kind of maintenance on the highways, or railways, or working in a crew of some kind. How would I go about doing this with my current Construction, manual background? And would I stand a chance?
A friend of mine told me there is a shortage for manual, physical labour in Vancouver as alot of people are going into office jobs etc.....
Would love some help/advice please ;)
