I'm 17 and have applied to be a part-time hotel room attendant. I have got to go to an assessment centre next week so I want to be prepared.
- What activities are they likely to do at an assessment centre for the role of a hotel room attendant?
- What duties does a hotel room attendant do?
- How can I be a very good hotel room attendant?
- What qualities and skills would be helpful?

Is a receptionist really a low ranking job?
I have a bachelor's degree but I've worked in retail as a manager. I am trying to secure and admin position but it's not working. I even changed my resume to functional format. Do think that might work? I have adminstrative experience, just not the title.
My husband has a second interview for a maintenance position. The position is for a "grand hotel" that is reopening after a major remodel. Can he wear a sport coat with nice slacks, dress shirt and bolo tie?
Now the plan for the 1 billion pound golf course has been accepted by the Scottish government how will it benefit the local area? how many jobs? how many visitors will it bring per year once it has been completed. I am from near aberdeen and im interested in how this could affect my area
Please i need help for my hotel managment project.
For example, there's a broken glass or an insect on the food or a fire, what would the hotel do in order to protect its customers?
I once paid over $300 to take one of these 40-hour courses, lured by a promise on the school's website of "guaranteed job interviews" after completion of the course.
I eventually learned that it is illegal for bartending schools to make this promise and when I threatened to throw the book at the school's manager, he refunded every penny of my money.
While it's true that some people who have completed a 40-hour bartending school course have eventually landed jobs as bartenders, such good luck seems to be a result of previous or existing food & beverage experience and was not in any way a result of completing the bartending course.
Restaurants and hotels probably regard a certificate from a bartending school as being as worthless as Confederate money. Am I right?
No answers from bartending school managers, owners, etc., please. I don't want to hear about how many satisfied students you've had or how many you've supposedly placed in bartending jobs.
I am already 31 years old but I feel that I have a personality that suits a hotel receptionist or front desk officer..I really like engaging with various type of people and is very accommodating..I also feel that this is the type of job I really like and would enjoy doing. Are there employers willing to accept applicants like me and possibly train me?
I'm interested in pursuing a career in this field. I would love to hear first-hand knowledge of what the career is like. The pay, schedule, stress level, job satisfaction, etc. Thank you!
I had an interview for a night receptionist job at a hotel a few days ago...
My question is would it be dangerous for a 20 year old woman to be completely on her own in a hotel all night? The door would be locked and i have to patrol the corridors every 2 hours.
Im quite worried as there is no security guards, cleaners or maintenance on site.
