I really would love to get an apprenticeship working in a studio or doing instrument maintenance/building but I have no idea how or where to do it? I live in Northamptonshire but can do anything in milton kyenes if it's unpaid but if it's anywhere else i'd have to move out and therefore would need money to live on? But I really have no idea how these things work so any help would be awesome?

I really need to raise some money to pay off my grand mother, and I heard that to work I need a workers permit. When I ask around where to get one, I'm told they get it from school. Well, I can't do that because I'm homeschooled. What should I do?

Last year I returned to school for graphic design courses because I wanted to change my career after working for 10 years as a secretary. I loved the program and I thought I would love my new work life after I finished. However I have been working at my new job for about 7 months and am finding that still sitting in an office (among other things) is driving me crazy. Any suggestions?

I swear I remember reading somewhere that its different for different jobs. Can someone tell me what the ages are and the punishments for breaking this law? The first person to tell me exactly what I want will receive the best answer points. Joy, I'm sorry, but i know for a fact that it isn't 18 everywhere. An example for a answer I'm looking for is...Architecture : 18...Government:21...Food/Restaursnt etc.:14.

A local adult trade school program opened and I was wondering what would be involved after such training and 'certification' in the process of becoming a professional electrician. If someone could answer with some ideas of apprenticeship periods, pay rates, and job availiability and experiences, I'd be very appreciative.

I have recently been experiencing the sensation of numbness on a patch about three inches wide and four inches long on my left shin. I've felt the front of both of my shins, and while they both feel bumpy (I know that bones aren't always smooth) the left has about a quarter sized raised area that hurts to touch it. It feels sore and deeply achy. Other leg symptoms I experience are a general achy tired feeling, and extreme relief when my SO (a licenced massage therapist) massages my legs and sciatic nerve. As far as I know, I didn't smack my shin on anything. I do however work as a caregiver to the elderly, it is physical, I lift them in and out of chairs and beds. I also do a great deal of crouching and squatting, kneeling and I'm on my feet for up to seven hours at a time some days. I'm wondering if I have a bone tumor, shin splints, something wrong with my lower back of if there is someone with a recommendation for what I should do? I try Ibuprofen, tylenol, resting when I can (not often, I'm a full time student and a part time worker, but also on call when they need me). Please help me- I'm in a lot of pain and concerned about this new sensation of numbness.

I was out having a drink the other night and a guy sitting next to me who was the service manager for a local Honda dealership was talking to a co-worker. He said that when folks bring in their autos for the scheduled service work intervals done at 30 K miles and 60K ($600-$1330 respectively for accords) that the service technicians don't even do 1/3 of the work on the check list. Thinks like lubing CVC joints, flushing transmission etc, usually get signed off, but never done. He chuckled and said there is no way for the customer to know or even prove it. He said they usuallu do the obvious like hook it up to the "scope" and change the oil and filters, top off fluids, but that is about it. If it is not broke, they just sign off on the other stuff and you get screwed! Since they are not actually repairing anything, how do we know? my honda is due for the $1330, any way to avoid getting screwed?

I was promised the Aerospace Maintenance Crew Chief job for cargo planes in the Air Force. And I was wondering if the title of "Crew Chief" actually means that I am in charge of a crew or if it means that I am just another grunt worker. I have heard different answers from different people and would like to know the truth. Any information you have is greatly appreciated.

Given the recent increase in tropical storms many East Coast cities have requested stricter regulations from the Federal Government regarding requirements on maintenance for gas mains, and increased funding to help deal with re-routing traffic when utility companies repair and upgrade those lines. Tea Party legislators are insisting this is an impossible burden on industry and that funding for traffic re-routing is "wasteful government spending". What's your response to the official Republican position that it's far more important to maintain the Bush tax breaks for people like Sheldon Adelson and the Koch brothers than it is to make sure that your home and family aren't incinerated by a ruptured gas line?
