Maintenance Worker Job Questions & Answers

I have been waking up at 12:30 and 1 in the morning because the maintenance workers are getting into the closet across from my apartment and mopping at this time. I am so sick of it! They also mop the front lobby, which I am right next to, run up and down the stairs, and make all kinds of noise on the elevator as well, all at odd hours. I don't know why they can't do this crap at normal daytime hours. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm starting tomorrow night as an overnight maintenance worker. What should I expect from this job? E.I. using the floor buffer; cleaning spills Do the managers/supervisors yell at you if you don't do things right? Is there a lot of pressure to learn fast? Do they treat you fairly? I just want to know because from my experience at warehouses, the supervisors and managers were cruel. I wouldn't learn things right away. It caused me a lot of stress. Thanks!

Has anyone else bothered to read what Obama's hurry up, we need it now, can't wait another day $1 trillion dollar stimulus package is all about? Sure, it's for infrastructure, but after the one employee in a town in Florida is finished screwing in light bulbs (purchased from China) at a cost to us taxpayers of $2 million, will he then be unemployed again? Exactly how will temporary maintenance worker jobs help our economy?

An American citizen most likely wouldn't want a job as a Maid, Taxi driver, Grounds maintenance worker, Construction laborer, or Janitor. Aren't they actually helping by filling the job position?

I got charged with possession of marijuana last November. I recently got into a decent paying company called ADM as a maintenance worker and I just filled out the paper work online for my background check. It asked if I had been convicted of any criminal charges at all so I was honest. Will this affect them hiring me?

I'm drawing up a business plan for "starting a college" and I need to know, what are ALL of the positions that a person would need to hire? (Janitors, maintenance workers, secretaries, administrators, recruiting officers, health-care people, etc etc etc) What is and isn't needed, and if you know the average (or low and median) salary for any of the positions, that'd be great too... Thanks in advance!

What would life be like if everyone in the United States woke up one morning to find $1,000,000 in their bank accounts or a suitcase for those who don't have bank accounts. What would be the social structure of the United States? Do you think ordinary workers such as laborers, restaurant employees, maintenance workers, and all minimum wage workers would show up to work? How would we function as a society?
