Is this an avionics mechanic? I can't find a lot of info on this. I took flying lessons, about 20 hours, but never finished. I don't think it's something I would pursue as a career anymore, but I just love planes. I want to work on them so I was thinking of going to a trade school to be certified for this.

I don't mind being in the same room with one or two people at the same time, or possibly five or more if I know them very well, but I prefer to be alone at all times. I CAN work with other people though, just not too many. If you have personal experience with social anxiety, which job or career would you recommend? I'm looking for as many suggestions as possible.

I know this may sound like a silly question but I would really like to know. I was wondering if there were jobs outside of working on "aircraft" in which I could use my skills. I have ex coworkers that work on turbine windmills but that is all I know. I would like to know if I have more options than aircraft and windmills.

I had my car painted at Maaco. They did a horrible job: there's sand in a paint, white dots all over a car, and they also paited over rubber moldings!!! Those moldings are worth almost $500. They took 3 more days than promised to finish the job, emptied the gas tank running the car (apparently they needed the radio, because all the stations were changed). My husband picked up the car, didn't pay anything because they said they'll sand the car over. After we realized that they painted over moldings, we wanted a discount for it. They wanted to paint everything again, but the manager said they wouldn't put the original moldings on a car because they're too expensive (the car dealership gave us an estimate on all those moldings). There's no way we'll leave our car with them again (did I meantion they stole all the change from the glove compartment?). Now the manager call us and leaves the message that he'll place a mechanics lien on a car. Can he do it? How it will affect us? Thanks!

Hello, I am trying to prepare to install a new radio in a 2000 Mitsubishi Galant. I would appreciate any detailed procedures that will facilitate the process. I am a novice mechanic with basic skills. I believe that the dashboard needs to be partially removed to allow access to the radio. I am uncertain as to which screws need to be removed. Thanks for any help in this matter.

Also, could my mechanic have damaged it (accidentally or on purpose) when replacing my blower motor? And, how long would it take me to replace my heater core?

What are some good airport ground operation career's that pay good and are generally interesting. What are those people who walk with the plane with a headset connected below the flight deck window when then plane is pushing back called? Is that a good paying job? I really want to work in the aviation industry. Can someone give me a few good jobs in and around the airport that arent overly boring or crap.

I'm prior enlisted and about to go to MEPS on Monday and wanted to know beforehand what the Army would throw at me as far as jobs that they would offer. I scored 90 on my asvab and line scores across the board are all pretty high. I also have a bachelor's degree though I don't want to become an officer just yet.

I went to drive my car and I put my key in, turned it, but the car wouldn't turn over or anything, but the radio and lights came on. When I tried to take the key out, it wouldn't let me turn it back enough. Then without much pressure the key broke. My car has never had problems starting before, so should it need the whole ignition replaced, or just the lock cylinder? I have a 94 Ford Taurus, so how much should this cost? How much would it cost at a dealership, I don't have the tools or experience to do it.
