I am on the verge of becoming a freelance web designer/computer technician and general computer service person. The problem is when people ask me how much the service in question costs I am usually too shy to ask for a 'reasonable' amount for the job in hand. I usually end up charging way under what other 'established' businesses ask for. One of the main problems is that I have often used 'mates rates' when resolving their problems (because often they are mates). But now my name is getting about and I want to start to charge more consistent charges for the job or service. I have come to the conclusion that the cost of every service should be calculated so I can justify my price and then the customer can take it or leave it. Some tasks, although may not cost in man hours, actually cost in cost in effort/knowledge/experience. Obviously I posses skills and experience which they may not. That's why they are at my door. I just need confidence in my figures. Thanks/Please

In the US, the state works for the people, not the other way around. When a private-sector union protests and strikes it is against a business or industry (and their stock holders) to pressure them into giving better pay and/or benefits in an open and competitive market. When state union workers protest, don't they realize they are protesting the people of the state? It is the people, not the politicians, who pay their salary. We the people are the board of directors of our country. Then there's the partisanship associated with unions. Why should any money from state unions be allowed in politics? They are basically using money paid to employees by the state citizens (both republicans and democrats) to payoff a single party for special treatment. Why is having a state union direct money to a campaign in repayment of favors any different than a politician forcing state employees to donate to their campaign directly in order to retain their jobs which is illegal?

Im a 19 year old female and desperately in need of a job. I'm highly interested in getting into the adult industries (yeah...porn). Sexual relations is something that I've been intrigued with for many years, and openly embrace. Although, I am NOT looking to be an actress. I would prefer something behind the scenes, such as clerical. Any suggestions on where I might find where to apply for such a position?

I am unsure which program to take. I want to work in a doctors office and help people, which one makes more? Which job do you know is easier to get in this economy? Any helpful tips? If you or anyone you know are in any of these jobs, can you explain anything the job requires besides the obvious? Thanks! ~I would take one of these programs in a tech school, not at a real college. However, I would get a certification. I'm going to quit college, to go get my certification in one of these fields, and I'm unsure which. Any help?
