I am in high school and am trying to think of future careers I may want. I love working with the elderly and figured gerontology would be good for me. Only problem is I don't wish to be a nurse or doctor and I don't know any other jobs available in gerontology other than nursing.

Right now I'm doing some freelance graphic design work. I find it incredibly difficult to find new clients because of my social anxiety. The clients that I have currently love the work i do. My question is should I continue pursuing to create a career in graphic design or should I find something that's more suited to me and my personality. I tried working at an ad agency in the past and unfortunately because of my anxiety I'm I'm capable of doing so. Any ideas?? Want to do next.

Ive taken some acting courses in college, but Ive never been in a play or volunteered or anything.. my role model is jlo. I really wanna be like her one day. This girl dropped everything to make it, but I already have a degree and I can work and fund for my dream ONCE i land a good job. But what r the steps to take? An acting coach? Is a reel necessary? I know headshots, but how do I even volunteer in indie films or no budgets? On craigslist? Do I need to be a member of some acting thing online? A short cut would be commercials. How can i get into commercials? Where do i apply, what do I need? thanks I say commercials and not modelling as a short cut bc Im kinda short. Also Im 23 yrs old, hispanic, live near Miami, Fl, not a bad place for the entertainment networking.

I've really gotten into acting over the last few years and I've been often told that I'm good and that I should keep it up and I'd like to make a career out of it but I don't really know how. But I've been often told that acting is a tough and competitive business to break into. But I'm willing to do whatever it takes because acting is my passion. Like I've been attending an acting school for the last few years, I'm part of the drama society in my college, been going to as many auditions as I can and I've acted in a number of productions and done a few monologues and I acted in a short film. But I often feel like this is not enough. Like I don't know how to get an agent. Or should I move to somewhere like London or New York or Los Angelos where all the big casting directors are.

I am in my final year of an English Lit degree. I love History and the Renaissance etc etc. I've particularly enjoyed studying Renaissance plays during my degree, and I love the reference to Greek mythology and the world etc. Is there any sort of career I could do involving these things? I don't particularly want to teach.. should I just leave this as a hobby? :/ Do you also think I have any hope of joining the video game industry? It might be cool to be a video game journalist or designer. But am I just dreaming? It also seems particularly unlikely seeing as I have social anxiety :/
