I really want to have a job working with the poor because I want to make a difference in some way, but instead of being a fundraiser I want to go out there and just help people (but without being a volunteer because I'll need to make a living) ... Any ideas??? Thanks :)

I'm currently taking up BS Hotel and Restaurant Management, but I'm not really sure what'll happen after that. I know it'll obviously be something in a restaurant or hotel, but what specific jobs will be available? I'm just hoping it's not something like being a bus boy or working in the housekeeping department after spending 4 years in college. Are there any jobs that'll keep me and my family financially stable?

I've dealt with a few job search sites, but most of the ones I've dealt with are full of it. They tell you there are jobs here and there and when you try to apply for the job, you need to enroll on a resume site, or other paying sites... Anyway, is there a serious site out there?

Several sites list the expected growth to be better than average, but I don't want to finish school and realize there are no opportunities. There are limited options now when I search for current positions. I am also considering a career as a registered nurse where I know there would be no complications for seeking employment.
