I recently resigned from the pharmaceutical sales job I had to persue another career path. I am having a hard time switching industries. I am interested in Marketing Analysis jobs, but am open to other ideas as well; as long as they are outside of sales. Any ideas on how to find jobs when switching industries?

I work for a major pharmaceutical company in Marketing. I have 8 years of Marketing experience, but also have a prior history working in the company's research labs. The position I'm interviewing for would be leading a group with medical writing responsibilities. Any questions in general, or specifically, that you would suggest I prepare to answer in advance?

I am a very creative person who loves science but has grown tired of typical bench work. I will be completing my PhD this spring and I'd like to break into marketing and/or advertising, with a long-term goal of working for a pharmaceutical company in their marketing department. I have an excellent science background. I have some hand-on experience in marketing, advertising, and PR for groups I volunteer with (college alumni group and sorority), but I have no formal training in marketing and my experience is rather spread out over the years. Any advice on how to break into a marketing/advertising job? I know I'll have to start at the ground and work my way up and I'm very willing to do it--how do I convince potential employers to take a chance? Thank you for all answers!

How is the job market in Singapore? Specifically for Pharmaceutical and Biotech companies? I've heard that Singapore wants to be the Medical Hub for Asia in the future so I'm wondering if there are many job opportunities there? Or if the job market for that sector is also struggling?

I recently graduated from a 4 year college with a bachelors degree in business administration / marketing. I recently began my job search and found almost every job that I would want requires years of experience. More specifically pharmaceutical sales. As for experience, I have worked tons of jobs during my education. Most were delt with audio / visual equipment, retail, or security. In other words I am kinda out of luck. I was wondering what other people have done upon graduation to gain experience. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
