Trade Promotion Manager Job Questions & Answers

I am currently a marketing manager trying to figure out the next step in my career. I have had a lot of experience in marketing communications type activities: creating collateral, press releases, managing trade shows, and promotions. I am wondering what experience I may lack on the quantitative side: managing P&L, managing product lifecycle, product mix, etc. If I am more interested in the creative side of marketing, should I stay in MarCom? Or do Brand Managers deal with both? Is there less growth potential in MarCom - job ads make it seem like an entry level profession making only around $35K.

What is the best way to join? Should I go to ROTC and become an officer or enlist? Also what is the training like? I can pass all of the physical requirements except the pull ups, but I'm only in high school so I have a while to get stronger. How long do I have to wait before joining the green berets by getting an 18x contract or does it allow to go straight into them after passing all the training?

I mean, sometimes, yeah I need help with something. Like I need plumbing advice, for example. But they don't know #@? I'd be better off just Googling it. Usually I'm even more familiar with the location of things in the store than they are. Does the management require them to bug you with their useless offers of help? Does it bug you that they interrupt your thought process to offer you useless help?
