Basically, taking clients to and from dr appointments, hair appointments, grocery store, pick the kids up from school, take kids to practices/baseball/soccer. Pick up and drop off clothes to dry cleaner.Basically anything that an extremely busy person would need help with.

How many of you have worked jobs that pro-illegals claim Americans won't do?
I have been on here for years and one thing I have read is that most anti-illegals are the ones who have done manual labor while you never read pro-illegals doing any manual labor, is this a reason why they are pro-illegal? Are these the lazy Americans we keep hearing them talk about?

 | Americans love their cars, but the supply of oil is limited and will become increasingly expensive. The current patterns of transport and settlement cannot be sustained for more than a few decades. The domestic auto makers Ford, GM and Chrysler are faltering already. Should governments shift infrastructure investments to new modes of transport before the oil runs out?. Note that roads are a public subsidy to the auto industry. (A subsidy to domestic manufactures might be justified, but a subsidy to foreign manufactures is questionable.) Would investment in rail, for example, be a better long term investment of public funds? What will happen to suburban real estate as transport costs escalate?
rby9 good points about alternate energy and the relationship of population density to practicality of mass transit.
Warren, I considered the idea of a highway with energy beamed to vehicles with microwaves. The electricity could be supplied by wind/solar facilitues beside the highway, and there is sufficient energy for light to moderate traffic. The problem is that the required power density would not be healthy for the car's occupants. I am a PhD physicist with several patents and that problem is one that I would like to solve too.
Carl, interesting perspectives about traffic in a large city. I was not aware that cities were spread as a matter of policy to reduce vulnerablity to nuclear attack. Perhaps that is a good policy even after the cold war, but there are associated costs.

 | What's your experience of transport in the UK today?
The Department for Transport is only meeting two out of seven targets, according to the House of Commons Transport Committee.
Missed targets include those for congestion, air quality, and introducing concessionary bus fares, but road safety and rail punctuality aims had been met.
What are your biggest concerns about transport in the UK? What are your suggestions for improving the system?

 | I have the odd baby sitting and pet sitting job, but it's not very common, so I want a normal job. The only problem, is that I live in a tiny town. Seriously, the nearest walmart is about 20 miles away, and the only other store is Maurice's, also 20 miles away. I think I could get a job at our local coffee shop, or the library, but I'm not sure. Baby-sitting isn't very good pay, and I'm not sure what to do. Any suggestions?

 | It's already documented how he schemed to give a $35 billion contract to foreigners and how he's a liar claiming Americans won't do jobs illegals do, but I figure that's doesn't give McCain enough credit for how he wants to continue the Republican raping of America.
