I've been looking around the internet for a good replacement job for myself. I am interested in becoming a truck driver and many of the options seem to be very lucrative and ideal for my situation. However, every single one of them requires me to have 6 months or more of Class A big rig driving experience in order to get the job. I have been looking for days and have not found anywhere that accepts a new driver with no experience. How do you get truck driving experience? Are there companies that train you, or courses that give you 6 months of experience? Thanks for the help.

I am 19, female, and I have no experience in the industry. I'm assuming I will need to get a Heavy Vehicle Licence. Is there anything else? I'm also having trouble finding info on the net about it. When I search job vacancies on mine site pages, I find nothing as general as "truck driver", yet I am assured by many that it is a readily available position. Also, anyone know where I can find a complete list of minesites in all the different states of Aus?
