Im off my meds bcuz side effects were worse than when off. But now im not controlling myself well after a year. I think i need help again but i dont trust doctors. they hardly answer my questions and just throw pills at me that they get kickbacks from the med makers. Any suggestions? If i go back on meds (inevitably), how do i know who to trust? Im going to lose my job if i dont get myself under control. ok ok, ill get back on my meds. my current major problem is my anxiety. just thought maybe someone knew ways to calm down aside from them. Lithium has been suggested before from a friend. ill look into that "hey Leese". thanks

I always thought a career in advertising would be awesome, but I don't exactly know what advertisers for big firms do. I was wondering what their jobs included and other information like that. Also, is the salary good? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I am good at writing professional cover letters, but I think for this particular job I need to sound competent, but not over-pretentious. The job is a "crisis intervention specialist" for a 24/7 hotline. I have no experience in the mental health field, but when I continue college next year, my major will be human services. I love to and am good at helping people, and seeing things from different prospectives. I think this job could be good for me, so I don't want to blow it with a crappy cover letter. This is a long-shot question, but it's definately worth a shot.

So, in order to become a psychiatrist, I need to do all of the required course work as an undergrad student, which is what I'm working on right now. I know that to get into med school, a lot of other things are required such as volunteer hours and work experience. As far as work experience, what is there? I could become a CNA or something like that, but that's not really relevant, is it? What work experience opportunities do I have that are relevant to the field of psychiatry? How in the world would becoming a CNA hurt my chances of getting into med school???
