It sounds like a fun major with alot of fun coursework! Careerwise though, it almost looks unprofessional and whimsical on a resume. I understand there are careers for rec administrations, but they are very broad and vague, ie. community recreation planner, corporate wellness program director, etc. I need some more information about these careers. What does one do on a day-to-day basis and how much is the salary?

I want to work a cruise ship and i was wondering if anyone can offer me advice, or share their cruise working story. I am hoping to work in the Mediterranean or any cruise that takes place in/near Europe. There are so many scams out there I am unsure of what websites to follow and what ones to avoid. At the end of the day, i just really have no idea where to start-there are hundreds of cruise lines offering thousands of jobs-but there are also thousands of applicants. Help is appreciated, thanks!

I have nothing against city life, but Canada is experiencing a lot of rural flight so home prices in our cities are very high. I can't afford to live there, and I don't want to deal with long commutes either. What are some in demand jobs that aren't in big cities? I'm still in high school and I'm looking at different career options.

Obviously most serious research jobs are out without more education, but I'd like more options. Teaching (elementary or high school) is the only one I could think of. Thanks.

What are some cool jobs that I would be to do that help kids get out of either abusive homes or being trafficked? Also, what kind of schooling would I need for the job you say? My long term goal is to have a camp for kids that have come out of those situations so something that would work towards that would be best

Just recently graduated with my Associates in Human Services (Social Science) & I am currently working on my Bachelors in Social Work, but I have no idea what types of jobs I should be applying for in the meantime. I would like something part-time that actually relates to my field. I've been applying for retail positions & nanny jobs, but I'm over-qualified. I'm also 27 years old & need something to make my resume sparkle.

I'm a junior in high school and trying to figure out what I want to do with my life. I'm thinking something along the lines of being a social worker, but it's hard to say because I really don't know what different careers entail. I just know that I want to DO something, HELP someone, not just sit at a computer at some corporation. I also have an enormous passion for children, and helping them. What are some careers I should check out, or classes I should take? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
