I run my own department, but the operations manger has his office next door and every time my staff come in with some sort of problem or issue he has to bud in and doesn't let me work it out on my own and for meetings never lets me speak up about my department. He has to always take over and be on controll. Does anyone have any ideas how to deal with it? Just to add he is attracted to me and I have had to put a stop to it.

There is so many opinions out there about what the difference is between these two and which one has more oppurtunities and so on. I would love to know what the most direct difference is between these two fields, they seem so similar. Obviously the name Operations Manager hints at managing, but to me it seems like it is a more business-like approach to industrial engineering.

I am making a resume and the only experience I have is working for my uncles engineering company. At this job I did everything from driving a rock truck, drilling in curb stoppers, counting trucks, filling gas, telling people where they are needed, filling out paperwork, driving from site to site making sure everything is okay and all other little things that were needed for me to do. What is an appropriate job title for this job?
