 | I am a production supervisor at a company and I just had my first work review. Everything went very well and I hit all my targets but the only thing that was said is that there is a concern if I am aggressive enough.
I asked for more information, mainly which direction it was coming from my employees or my bosses higher up. I was told it was just more of an observation and that I seem to be very even keel where production supervisors should be more "go, go."
This isn't the first time I have heard this at a job, but usually my bosses understand that while it may look like I am not getting much done, I always come out having more in the end.

 | I used to be the GM of a small company but now I am one of 3 Production Supervisors for a larger company and there are 4 levels of bosses above me.
I am used to being the main guy and being in charge but now I cringe when I sit in a meeting that is going nowhere.
My wife was excited when I got the job because she thought I would no longer be "thinking about work" since I wasn't in charge, but I still do and I mostly get frustrated.
Any tips?

| There are 2 openings for production supervisors.
There is no set wage, but the employer gives a salary range of $30,000-$45,000/year.
The 2 successful candidates for the job; one man, one woman.
The man NEGOTIATES for a salary of $42,000.
The woman NEGOTIATES for a salary of $32,000.
No discrimination is involved.
So thanks to the negotiation process, the man gets paid more than the woman for equal work.
Is this acceptable?

| How do you keep from coming in too low but not going in so high that you get laughed at? I have a job interview for a production supervisor for a turbine manufacturer (large company). The job calls for an associate degree, whereas I have a bachelor's. But I've also been out of work for a long time but don't want to make any desperate moves.

 | I'm just wondering what kind of job I get with a neuroscience degree.
What I mean is that when I graduate i don't want to go into research and work in labs. It doesn't appeal to me because the pay in the UK for research scientists is rubbish, the working hours are quite long and the work is tedious.
My question is what kind of job can i get that is related to my degree but doesn't involve lab based work or research.
