I'm just wondering what kind of job I get with a neuroscience degree. What I mean is that when I graduate i don't want to go into research and work in labs. It doesn't appeal to me because the pay in the UK for research scientists is rubbish, the working hours are quite long and the work is tedious. My question is what kind of job can i get that is related to my degree but doesn't involve lab based work or research. Thanks Also i I don't want to go into teaching.

I have been asked by my manager to think up some ways to motivate the rest of the team to use these two new systems we are now using at work. Each employee will be scored each day with a "usage score" in the form of a percentage (100?eing the ideal target). I need to think of some way to incentivise the team to use the systems more. Can anybody help me?

I am stressed to boiling point. The harder i work the more work i get given and then more. Its like mybtitle is production operative but i do my supervisors job. Tell everyone what to do; cover breaks, paperwork aswel as running machines & packing, getting boxes, labels and making sure everyone has what they need. I get the same pay rate as someone making boxes all night. When i refuse to do his job my supervisor screams at me, he has sexually harrassed me aswel as others in work. I am at a point where i just want to cry, i am that angry! I see other people who are labeled as "useless" do one job all night. I wish i was useless too!!! Shes no use!! Other people have made a complaint for me as i try to tell people like managers and i never get listened to as i am the only full time british girl on my shift.

She pretends she's on yr side, but once again talks down to people and tries to belittle them, and she is the one that works less hours, she's 66yrs old, and has her favourites, she loves putting obstacles in my way, has given me a 12 month probation, because she says I have attitude, and for me to change, our practice manager goes along with her, as she has no back bone to stand up to her, we are all afraid, we don't want to loose our jobs, what is the alternative?

I work for a small company and been there for about 15 years. I'm in good graces with everyone there (I think). I've always performed well! My problem lately is with a quality control manager. He has made some snide remarks to me about my employment there. Sometimes he is trying to be funny, but as everyone knows he is not. He is not my direct manager or supervisor for that matter and I'm thinking of elevating this to a higher level(kinda nipping in the bud). I have already said something to my supervisor about this matter. He said if I say anything to the production manager he would stick to the side of the other manager no matter what. He also said that I'm taking it to seriously. He knows the personality of the person in question and had arguments with him too. Its not all the time right now, where it would be a harassing issue. Its been bothering me because I know I'm a good worker and a good person. I think I'm going to ask the production supervisor/vice president, what he thinks of my performance. His opinion is the only one that counts anyway as far as getting fired or let go. Do you think its a good idea to ask him or grow thicker skin and let it go?
