I am going to take my Project Management Professional Certification exam soon. I also have 5 years experience in Project Management of IT projects. With OBAMA's new stimulus there will be a lot of construction jobs, including Project Management. I have good Project Management skills but not a lot of skills in Construction (other than personal home improvement projects). How do I get into the new industry using the same skills?

I owned my own business from 25 years old. I am now 29 years old. I started the business myself and did every part of running a business on my own. From marketing to cooking in my pizzeria. I am graduating with a degree in technical management in project management. What jobs would be good for me just out of school with owning a prior business on my resume? Any help would be good. I also live in the Northern New Jersey area, If this helps out with salary ranges.

I plan to resign a regular job to take up consulting/project management job in the same company. That company is rapidly expanding and I would like to offer my services in the area of documentation, strategic planning and research as an external/outsourced person but I can't think of any specific projects that the company will need. Any suggestion? Thank you in advance.

I got drilled with so many work experience and project management questions at a job interview a few weeks ago. Even the supervisor said "I shouldn't be asking you this because this is entry level, but i'll ask anyways". The job posting even said "no experience required".

I am an elementary school teacher finishing up my M.Ed. My degree will be in (project) Management and Innovation. Rather than applying this to education, I was actually starting to consider the possibility of leaving the classroom and going into Project Management. I did a job search and saw that there ARE openings for PMs, but most say that they want 5-10 years experience. I did see one that was an education-related PM position that said they'd train newbies, but is that going to be hard to find again?

I know all about interstatte transfers but they usually take 4-6 months to be processed. I am contemplating taking a project management job with a construction company and would be on a different job site every 6-10 month. So I was wondering if there is a possibility of a discharge from the National Guard in this case? I am a Sgt/E5 and have 9 years, halfway throgh my second 6 year enlistment.

My husband is considering a position with MMG. It is a one year construction Project Management job. I would stay in the USA with our children. He has been told that rather than a compound he would be living in an apartment. This makes me very nervous. Has anyone lived in Saudi Arabia in the past year? How safe is it? He has been told that he will be flown home for two weeks every four months. Does anyone know if these arrangements work well for families? Can we visit him as well?

I graduated with a 2:1 in BA English in 2011, I have worked part time for a local charity registered community organisation for 6 years in various roles. Some aspects of this job did require project management but on a basic level. I am considering doing the Prince 2 to help boost my knowledge. But honestly, I want to get experience even at entry level so that I can build my profile. Please advise.

I've been thinking about attending a couple classes and getting a certification of some kind, so that I can find a better job. Among these 'certifications' is PMP (project management professional), but I'm not quite sure what a certification in project management would enable me to do.
