 | I am doing 1st year biochemistry/chemistry and next year i am planning to get into pharmaceutical science (PS) if i do very well in chemistry this year. if i do get into PS next yr , it would be a one yr loss for me and i will have to do 1st yr uni again. thats not of a big issue, but i wonder, would PS be much much harder than biochem/chem? i am not a chemistry buff! i am just ok with it. an above average student u can say and i am very good at biology. i'm afraid, that if i donot do PS well, next yr, then i am dead. i want to work as analytical chemist or smth better, definitely not research!.so if i do PS over biochem, how useful will it be in getting me satisfactory job ASAP. in the Quality Control or any other labs, will they prefer PS graduates over biochem/chem graduates.
should i stick with my biochem/chem and do well in it or take a risk and do a better course i.e pharmaceutical science. please help here. my future will be affected if i dont take the right step here.

 | I'm planning to move to London, from Canada, within the next year. I have a degree i Chemistry, and 2 years experience in an analytical/environmental chemistry lab. Are there many jobs available in this field? Are there any particular places to find more info on job hunting? Or do you know of good companies that I should look into as a base?
Thanks!

 | Don't say chemical engineering, because that is primarily engineering, with extra chemistry. Don't say medical or pharmacy school because you can do that with any background. What are some good jobs that ONLY a chemistry background can get you?

 | I really like chemistry and was wondering what the difference between a chemistry major and chemical engineering major are? I'm good at math too. so basically I'm looking for the difference between them and the types of jobs you can do with each one. if there is anyone with either major who could tell me that would awesome but anyone can answer this. is it possible to double major with both of them?

 | I've been thinking about majoring in chemistry because I really, REALLY, love science but I'm having trouble thinking about what kind of job I can get as one. I know I can be a teacher or work at a pharmaceutical company of sorts but those jobs don't really seem that appealing to me.
What other jobs can I get if I become a chemist?

 | When I say easy to find, I mean the job needs workers and there isnt much competition.

 | In general, what does a chemist do to help a company? Does work normally revolve around experimentation or calculation? Are there freelance chemists or are they normally bound to a single company or group? What sort of fields, such as medicine, can chemists find work in? What could I expect to do during a career in these fields?

 | I looove chemistry, but I'm really not interested in working in the medical field or anything like that, but I have a passion for beauty! It's great making money for doing what you like to do! I know I still have a lot of time to look for one, but I'm scared for my future. I'm 15

 | I'm a second year bachelor student studying chemistry at a state university. I'm curious if there are careers or jobs available that involve plants and chemistry, specifically those in research that would allow me to spend some time outdoors or maybe in a greenhouse. I'd really appreciate anyones experiences or help. Thank you. :)

 | For example, what levels exist in the company? How does this link to the qualification and/or experience that you need to have? What are the requirements for each of these levels? What is the duration for each level? Please demonstrate this with real life examples if possible.

 | I'm currently a sophomore in college and I'm in the process of completing my pre med courses. I was wondering if a bachelors in chemistry would be worth it. Is it? After you received your bachelors how long did it take you to obtain a job. What was your salary that first year? Does it get better? Is medical/pharmacy my only hope for a decent paying job? I am worried that I don't get accepted in medical/pharmacy school or decide that I don't want to study more and then can't find a job because of my degree in chemistry. Also, I don't think it's fair that they get paid very little. The courses one takes in college to receive a chemistry degree are difficult. So much work and little reward. What do you think? Any advise? Thank you.

 | I've heard from a few people that I could work in a lab for the F.B.I which sounded pretty cool. I need a job that will help me pay my way through med school. Thanks for any input.
Oh yeah, I'm interested in becoming an anesthesiologist.
