My uncle is looking to get a job as a usda food inspector or quality control manager for a food company here in california. He asked me if the job market was pretty good since we have a lot of agricultural stuff, but I'm not sure. Does anybody know how the market is for those types of jobs here? It can be anywhere in the state.

I have an interview tomarrow for a job that is really important. I am being interviewed for the position of Quality Control in an RV plant. Could you give me some idea of what the job entails so that I can go into the interview more prepared. Also, if you have any advice on how to make my interview go more smoothly, that would also help. I haven't had on in quite awhile because I have been at my current job for so long. Thanks!

I am a warehouse associate in a small local business and I am gaining experience in assembly, packing, shipping, receiving, inventory, and some quality control. I am the only one in the warehouse, so I am pretty much responsible for everything that happens in that part of the company. What are some good paying jobs where this experience would make me a competitive applicant? I also have an Associates in Science degree. Thanks!

I've got a HSE Certificate but the industry is being choked to death by people with no common sense. I'm now doing a job in Quality Control as I'm also an ex Electrical Engineer as well. We have new management who say we must have Quality qualifications but being in work I can't have time off as I do shifts. Anyone know a good site and what qualification let me know as I'm happy where I am at the moment :D

I studied Business, I love dealing with people, the more people I get to talk to in a day, the happier I am. I wanted to work in human resources, but they wouldn’t give me a job anywhere because I had no experience. I took a job in Quality Control translating the process manuals. I got so familiarized with everything they made me technical writer, then they made me quality inspector, and now I am a production coordinator. I got promoted so much in 3 years, it made other people with engineering degrees jealous. I’m really good at what I do, but that doesn’t mean I like it. I still want to be in human resources, I’ve gone to many job interviews these past 3 years, but I still have no experience, no one seems to want to give me a job in that area, and now I’m used to making good money to just start working at some low-paying position. How can I get started in human resources, and still make what I’m making right now?

I am doing 1st year biochemistry/chemistry and next year i am planning to get into pharmaceutical science (PS) if i do very well in chemistry this year. if i do get into PS next yr , it would be a one yr loss for me and i will have to do 1st yr uni again. thats not of a big issue, but i wonder, would PS be much much harder than biochem/chem? i am not a chemistry buff! i am just ok with it. an above average student u can say and i am very good at biology. i'm afraid, that if i donot do PS well, next yr, then i am dead. i want to work as analytical chemist or smth better, definitely not research!.so if i do PS over biochem, how useful will it be in getting me satisfactory job ASAP. in the Quality Control or any other labs, will they prefer PS graduates over biochem/chem graduates. should i stick with my biochem/chem and do well in it or take a risk and do a better course i.e pharmaceutical science. please help here. my future will be affected if i dont take the right step here.

I am laid off from a machine shop where I started in CNC Operation and set-ups but quickly moved up to quality control, CMM operation, and DMIS programming. I made pretty good money but have been laid off. Unemployment isn't enough but I can't find a job making enough to make it worth while to get off unemployment. Is there a way I can work part time to supplement my unemployment and still collect until I can find another job in my field?
