My uncle is looking to get a job as a usda food inspector or quality control manager for a food company here in california. He asked me if the job market was pretty good since we have a lot of agricultural stuff, but I'm not sure. Does anybody know how the market is for those types of jobs here? It can be anywhere in the state.

I really quit because of no support from Upper Management. I was their Quality Manager, they wanted to remain ISO certified, however, they didnt want to abide by what was written in the company Quality Manual so I basically had to kiss the Auditors ass every time he visited.

I've seen those scam sites that ask you to pay for them to find you a job on a cruise ship. And I went on the Royal Caribbean, Princess Cruise, Carnival ect ect websites and couldn't find anything but a "bar manager" job. Any suggestion on how I am to pursue the job I want?

I have a friend who works a technical writer at an assembly plant; he's the one who makes and updates all the work instructions. My company does work for different companies. I recommended my friend for a job interview at another assembly plant for the same position. He had 3 interviews; one with the human resources person, another one with the corporate person, and finally he had one with the quality department manager. He tells me at the end of the last interview when he was going out the door, the manager said: "one last question, a*********y?" My friend answered it was something personal, he is gay though. I don't understand why he would ask for that in big company for a position in the engineering field.

I have a friend who works at blockbuster who knows they are hiring and I just recently put in an application. He told me to come in and ask the store manager about the job but I don't know what to specifically ask about. Should I just go in and say that I have put in an app and would like to talk about getting the job? I've never been good in these situations so any advice would be helpful.

I dislike so many qualities about my manager. She's arrogant, shallow, condescending and extremely extremely demanding. I hate the way she speaks to me and other co-workers. I know she's busy, but she takes it out on everyone around her. I work and do a really good job, but sometimes I feel too much pressure and I always end up making a mistake and I know if things were a bit calmer I'd be much happier and more efficient. I don't know how, nor do I think it's appropriate for me to tell my boss, but I'm not sure what to do and I feel like she's hurting the company more than helping.
