Every time I try to find a game tester job it always ends up being some kind of scam to get you to buy some guide to becoming a better tester or whatever. Where can I find legitimate video game tester jobs?

Hello! I'm disabled (Hydrocephalus and Cerebral Palsy). Several people (including on here) have mentioned that volunteering is a great way to land employment. My major is video game design and someone mentioned volunteering in that too. The Hydrocephalus causes memory issues, issues with balance, time-space issues, and some other minor issues that I can control. The Cerebral Palsy makes it hard to do some things like lifting, continuous physical activity, and even typing at times. Several questions: Do legit work-at-home video game tester jobs exist and where is a legit place to look? What are some legit volunteer opportunities that I may be able to do with little problem? What are some places that post legit volunteer work offerings? I have to worry about infections and illness due to a shunt that goes from my head into my heart. Will this hurt me in my search? Pay is not an issue at this point (although I am trying to save up to move out of my parents house now that I have clearance from my neurosurgeon to do so). Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! I'm looking for both types of jobs. I may have confused you a bit with my information above. My apologies.

I have a software degree and want to get into programming. Most programming jobs are looking for 2yrs experience in programming, but i have 2yrs exp in tech support. Would getting a software tester job first be a good stepping stone between tech support and programming? They dont seem to require as much experience, so im more hopeful of being able to get a job.

I am a hardcore gamer. I can play for hours on end. It's one of the few things in life that I feel I am good at. Since online and public testing have become prevalent, video game tester jobs are hard to come by or nonexistent. Are there any jobs nowadays where a person can play video games all day or for most of the day and get paid for it? Maybe professional video gamer teams? Anything at all?

I heard they get paid 15,000 and I also heard 100,000 so which is it? And what else should I know about video game testers? (job requirements, years in college, etc.)

I want to do research to help stop the environmental problems because I really care about the environment. What would be the best major and university for this? I don't want to end up in some sort of city water tester job...I really want to be focusing on the bigger issues affecting our planet today. What would you recommend?
