I have been trying to get into a job in Quality Assurance/ Policy Compliance since I left the Army in 2003. I have 18 months experience of call center QA from my current job. My company is laying everyone off where I work. I have an offer from a company that does similar work, but there is no guarantee I will get experience in Quality Assurance, and it is a very boring job to me. I just wanted to know the possibility of getting a QA job with the college and experience I have and , if so, what type of QA would hire someone like me (Industrial, Technical, etc.)?

Hi, I graduated this year with a CS degree. I did an internship with a very good company X as developer on system side, but because of the recession i couldn't get an offer from this company. I am right now working as a Quality Assurance (Testing) Engineer in another company. I am completely confused as to what to do. Should I continue my present job or look out for opportunities (at this time of recession) ?

I've read so much on trying to become a video game tester/quality assurance for the gaming industry. But, I can't find where to get started. Does anyone know what steps I need to take to get my resume up to date with their standards for testers to get the job? Do I need to apply for more education to get the job? What type of education would I need? What college will I have to go to? If a testing job requirement is 2 years, what does that two years mean? Any help is appreciated.
