 | I am applying for a research assistant job, which demands excellent writing skills. The job wants a 1 page writing sample (to determine my writing skills) along with my resume and cover letter. What is the best topic to write on for my writing sample?

 | I am majoring in Biology and Economics and have a GPA around 3.3-3.4
I didn't do too hot freshman year but progressively have gotten better and better up to this point in my Junior year where I'm now averaging a 3.6 or so GPA.
Also I've working 2 research assistant jobs, having previously worked 1 other research assistant job and I plan to volunteer and shadow in a hospital this year.
Considering my improvement since freshman year and my two majors, do I still have a shot at getting into med school?
THANK YOU

 | I am graduating in May with a bachelors in psychology. I am taking a year off before entering the field of either clinical or counseling psychology. Can I find a job being a research assistant? Where/how? My university is not big into research. Are there any summer opportunities available if I cannot do a year long program?

 | Is it easier to one than a professor? Are there more jobs available for a research assistant than a professor? Is there such thing as a research assistant in American History?

 | I am in the process of finding a research assistant volunteer position but am not too sure what is involved in the actual job. Is it something hard? I have heard of professors yelling at their students and not training them properly so this makes me wonder if I would get yelled at.. Thank you for your help.

 | I am in a doctoral program where we are employed as research assistants during the course of the program. at the end of the program, you can no longer be employed as a research assistant so you lose the position. does this mean that leaving such a program would qualify me to collect unemployment benefits if i was unable to find a job?

 | I am an international student applying for a PhD in the US. I am wondering what would be better financially. I believe that if you are a research assistant, your tuition is lower than if you don't work for the University. Can anyone help?

 | Help! Im having trouble finding an entry level research job. I've sent out resumes to universities, polling organizations, and hospitals. Yet, Im having difficulty obtaining an entry-level job. My resumes and cover-letters have been looked over by professionals in resume writing and all have found the resume to be excellent. If anyone has an idea of wherei could find research jobs, I would appreciate it greatly.

 | I did my Bachelors in Electrical Engineering and now started M.Sc in a Top German university. But honestly I was never that much interested in studies, I only studied because my parents forced me to and also so that it can help me in finding jobs and jobs are a real scarcity in countries like my own(I'm from Bangladesh). After years of studying without much of personal interest, I now feel mentally tired and sick. I already do a Research Assistant job at a good company besides my studies which I managed to get because of my B.Sc degree. But I don't love it. These days my dislike of life makes me so sad that I'd rather sleep forever under the soil if I didn't love my parents so much. I feel so much trapped, I feel like I'm tortured every moment.
I'd really like to do something which I love to do and which will also give me enough money to live a decent life. Could you guys suggest me what I can do? I'm not sure what I'm really best at, if only someone could identify that for me I'd be so grateful. Help me! Say me how I should approach this personal crisis?
* I always liked teaching maths and English kids of age ranging age (12-18). 3-4 years ago I used to work individual tutors as a part time.
* I think I could love Sports Journalism. I really love Soccer, I am understand the tactics and mechanism of Soccer and Soccer industry pretty well. I like writing article on sports and history of sports. I carefully observe the matches and listen to commentary and even sometimes take part in phone ins to discuss football. I'd have liked to try Journalism a profession but I think nowadays it takes a Journalism degree to get such jobs.
@MavistheMaven Here I have added some more details to my question. I don't think I'd like Engineering as a profession. I'm never passionate about Engineering and on top of that when you have so much stress on something you are not passionate about I hardly think you can enjoy that.

 | I am planning to apply to law schools in the next year or two, but I need to work in the mean time. I have 2 years work experience out of college as a cognitive neuroscience research assistant. I would like to get a job in something more law related, what would look best on a law school application?

 | I don't have any real jounalistic education, but I have lots of experience in editing and revising essays, customer service, working with a team, and stuff like that. I currently work as a research writer, but it doesn't pay very well (but can I use it to my advantage on a resume?) Are there receptionist jobs, various assistant jobs, copying? What can I reasonably expect?
I don't think so Tim :)
That's just a tad too entry level for my liking

 | By graduate students I mean people that are in the process of earning a Master's or a Ph.D. in History. What types of jobs could they get while they're studying? Research assistants for the deparmant or the library? Could they become assistants to a proffessors? Basically, what type of academic jobs could they have while studying?

 | I'm a college graduate with a degree in political science. Right now I just have a part time job near home, but am planning to move to another city (still deciding which one) in a few months. I would like to get a full time job with benefits, maybe as a research assistant. The problem is, I want to line up a job now. I just don't know how to search for or apply for a job that I can't start for a few months. Particularly since there aren't a whole lot of social science jobs I can get without further experience or training, I will need time to tailor my applications. Also, if I can find jobs now in certain cities, it would help me decide which city to live in and I'd be able to find housing in advance.
So please, if you have had similar problems, tell me how you solved them. Details about good search engines would be helpful too. Thanks!

 | This is wayyyyy more complicated than applying to undergraduate school. Good news I still have 2 and a half years to graduate and planning on taking the GRE general and subject tests. Might apply for MCAT too.
I just dont know where to start! I am working on my school courses, trying to get involved in extracurricular activities and community service and recently I have been applying for research assistant jobs at college. I am an international student so planning to take the TOEFL test again.
But should I just keep doing that and just apply when I graduate? Or I am supposed to email colleges now and programs that are of interest to me? If so, what should I email them about?
I always seem to go blank when wanting to email or talk to a program representative. I am still in my first year of specialization (third of college) and I seriously dont have a firm grasp on what I want to do as my masters or Ph.D. research.
Dont want to sit and do nothing...
Any guidance is appreciated. Thank you SO MUCH :)
