I want to go to school to become a large animal veterinarian but incase it doesn't work out my mom wants me to have a back up plan. I want to stay in the agriculture field and still be able to work with animals but I don't know what other jobs are available. I want to work with the horses, cows, pigs, chicken, and all the farm animals if possible. If I cant make it into vet school, I may consider becoming an agriculture teacher but it doesn't pay well. If anyone knows of other job options please let me know! thanks!

I'm 27, i have previous experience in construction doing renovations and outdoor underground utility installations and excavation projects. ive been applying at places but i really feel that because i'm female they skip past my resume and don't want to hire a girl for whatever reason. How can I present myself in such a way that I will be taken seriously? I have been told by people that im really mature and free of drama and that i work hard and have a great attitude. so far ive been applying online (the federal websites i find my jobs on only give the emails and fax numbers for jobs) and been writing a quick coverletter highlighting my experience and esnding my resume. is there anything i should say or shouldnt say??
