I work for a Real estate company (not a title insurer) that has to order a Chain of Title (COT) from time to time. Our current provider is very expensive and we're looking to bid out the jobs. Since we're a nationwide company, it's not terribly feasible to deal with each county's assessor to get the info. Any one know of any good providers?

I would like to know what office related careers are there and a salary range for them. ex. security account manager I really want to be a lawyer, but I don't think law school is possible when it comes to finances. Any tips on making it possible. Do you have to go to an Ivy League law school to have good career options.

I have two judgments and I am trying to sell my house. My home has little equity. The equity will not cover both judgements. Is a judgement from a credit card company automatically a lien on a home? How can I tell if it is a lien? Can I sell my house? Thanks Thanks, but I am not looking to buy another house. So, if the proceeds of the house doesn't pay off the judgments and I do not get the judgments cleared, then I can't sell the house? Can I sell the house without getting the judgments cleared up?

Does anyone know how I can get into doing Title research? I am a paralegal of 13 years specializing in family law but I am looking to change careers. Or if anyone has any suggestions about another job I can jump over to. I really want to try to become self-employed. So that is the avenue(s) I am looking to take. Any advice is greatly appreciated. I enjoy the legal field. I'm just burned out by people. What other jobs can I do in the legal field. I love to write. I am good at it, too - so I'm told.

I am looking to get my 2 year Associate in Science degree in paralegal studies. However, I was wondering what other opportunities might there be if I had an A.S. degree in Paralegal studies, but I ended up deciding not to become a paralegal - what else could I do with that degree? For example - English majors can do anything from teaching, research and writing, business communications, etc. So English majors have a lot of job opportunities when they graduate, what about a degree in paralegal studies...either an AS or BS - doesn't matter...BS would be ideal of course. Or would I HAVE to stick to being a paralegal because that's exactly the schooling I am going for - whereas majoring in English opens many doors because they have a range of knowledge. I hope I was clear. Thank you
