As I said, planning on moving to Honolulu and attending UH. Wondering if there are many retail jobs located w/in a few miles of UH. Ideally finding a room to share/job and have the school all w/in a 5mile radius would be great. Or are most of the jobs(retail type) located pretty far from UH? I would like to own a bike and forgo having to get a car if thats possible.

There are many thousands of truck driving jobs that are open for long periods of time, since nobody applies to them. Such jobs could be automated with technology that exists today. When will this start to happen? Retail jobs are already starting to be automated as well.

I've been working at McDonald's for almost a year and I still get $7.25. I'm looking at another job for this summer before college and retail jobs seem a little slower-paced and may pay better (and they have air conditioning). But it seems like many places also pay minimum wage, like I've heard Walmart does. How are places like Lowe's or grocery stores? Thanks.

Hey everyone! I was just wondering what some of the best retail jobs are out there? I've heard Best Buy is a good place because of the employee discount and i was just wondering what some of the other ones were. If you could please tell me the name of the place and why it's so great, that would be awesome. Thanks!

Planning on moving here but how hard is it to get a retail job without recent experience? I have not had a job since 2002 and even then it was retail. What do people in Seattle look at when hiring? Can I make it on my own with a retail job?.. Like my own apartment, will jobs here pay enough?

Uniform retail jobs at places such as GameStop, Circuit City, Staples, Best Buy, Wal*Mart, McDonald's, and GAP. I'm talking about walking in there for the very first time and telling the manager that you want to apply for a job. Would it be overboard if someone dressed formal just to do this? Would it be a good thing? Or does it even matter? On the flip-side, what if I came in with T-Shirt and jeans? Please tell me what you think, and if you work at these places or not.

I am 21 years old and about to go into my senior year of college. I just got laid off of my job at a Noodles&Company after only one month of employment and, although I am willing to do any sort of work, I am really looking to use this opportunity to get a more fulfilling/respectable job. I have no office experience and have only handled money at a volunteer position. I'm a quick learner though and I know that I am capable of being a great employee. How can I worm my way into a desk or retail job?

I currently work a full time (37-40 hr) retail mall job. Because it is shift work, my hours are constantly changing between opening shifts and closing ones. I am wondering if I could get a few examples of part time jobs that might be able to work with this flexing schedule, or is another retail job my only other viable option?
