Visual Merchandise Planner Job Questions & Answers

I was in Starbucks when I saw one of the employees setting up and arranging products in the shop. I was interested in knowing what he was doing since I like to arrange stuff on shelves and stuff and he mentioned he was a "planner grounder" or "planner" something. I couldn't remember but he said something about planner for sure. I wanna know what it's called when you put up products/arrange products up to display in a store. He mentioned that a friend of his does the same stuff that he does involving Walgreens and CVS and he works about 30-40 hours per week. I thought it might be a neat job to have but I dunno, I'm a full time student so I dunno how hours would work out but it could be a good job to have when I' out of college.

I am going to go down to the unemployment office and appealing the decision tomorrow. My former employer blocked my unemployment benefits. The deputy that I spoke to on Monday said that I indeed did qualify for unemployment. I was wrongfully terminated by my former employer. They, as in the district manager of the retail store, claimed that I had a negative attitude and did not complete the visual merchandising planner correctly. I followed the visual merchandising papers exactly as they were printed from the computer, and after being in the store today to pick up my final paycheck, nothing was changed from my design. A few months before I was terminated a female manager in my store was fired for stealing close to 55,000 dollars worth of inventory from the store. The district manager and corporate still have not prosecuted her for the massive loss, which amounted to around 10 percent of the store's inventory. I aided in this investigation by printing reports and showing the district and training district managers what was going on with her and they would not pay attention until it was way too late. Why would they fire me? I had been there for over four years and a year of that was being a salary assistant manager. I know that I have to appeal this decision that they have made but what will the process entail? Do you think the odds are on my side? Best answer will be chosen and appreciated.

I've always been interested in fashion, but I am not sure if Fashion Marketing is the best for me. I need answers to these questions: Can I take this in an university or college is the only choice (I don't want to go to college)? Is is easy to find a job as a Fashion Marketing Specialist in Canada? Is it paid well? What does a Fashion Marketing Specialist do? What are the responsibilities of this job? What are some similar programs/jobs to this one? PLEASE help me if you know the answers of these questions (or even one of them). THANKS!!!

Hello ! I'm currently taking Fashion Marketing in school ( 9th grade ) & I have found that fashion has been my thing since the 7th grade.. I'm possibly considering having a carrer in fashion.. I want to be a stylist, like Clinton Kelly, from TLC's What Not To Wear... but I would like some other options. It would be nice if you can give me some! :) Oh & I have got the comments that I should be a model when I grow up, I have been considering that too..
