Car Sales Job Questions & Answers

I have been invited to two different interviews later this month for car sales jobs within top showrooms, both are major car companies. I am busy trying to prepare myself so i can be my best for these interviews, i just wandered if i could possibly get some good question ideas i can ask? I am wanting a career change and going from a position which has nothing to do with cars, even just some helpful information if someone has been in car sales interviews before would be a real help. Thanks.

My husband will be getting his black belt in september and wants to quit his current car sales job and instruct taekwondo. I am wondering how much he will be making..I am worried about starting a family if he's only going to be making 6 or 7 dollars an hour.

The information I found is that there has been a growth of illegal criminal record checks and that employers can only do a discloure if they have an exemption from the reabilitation of offenders act. Now my question is which type of employers can have the exemption. I know of course that any job working with children is included. But what about for example jobagencies, energy sales or car sales jobs are all of these exempt from act and allowed to carry out crb checks?

I used to build swimming pools for 19yrs until a divorce and the economy went bust. It took me a year to find this lousy car sales job and now I cant even worship on sabbath. I just don't know what to do, I have asked for saturdays off because of my faith but they just don't care. Any Jewish impute would be greatly appreciated.

If you've been in car sales for a couple years, are there any other types of sales jobs that you might be able to get (with having that kind of experience) that would pay even more? Corporate jobs? Someone suggested diamond sales? Relationship selling? Any ideas? I'm trying to gather all my options here because I want to get out of car sales and into something higher paying that I might enjoy even more and that will challenge me MORE too...

I was curious. There are so many sales jobs: cars, real estate, prescription drugs, etc. What is the most lucrative? What is the income of these high paying sales jobs?

I've been in sales positions for about 7 years now, mainly outside B2B sales. Recently, I decided I wanted a change, I just moved to a new city and have been pretty bored with the sales job I've had for the past few years. I was offered a car sales position working for Honda, but I am having a hard time deciding if I should give it a shot. If I ever were to sell cars it would be for a company like Honda or Toyota, simply because it seems they have their niche customers moreso than other car makers, plus the quality of their cars. However, at the same time I just don't know if getting into this industry is something that is easy to do or not. The upside is great if you are a top producer, but I just have no idea how quickly someone can jump right in and start making good money. Any advice from people doing it would be greatly appreciated!

I see these great ads for pharmaceutical sales jobs, no experience required, company car furnished, paid training and a decent salary plus bonus/commission. There has GOT to be a catch. What is it?

I have been offered a job with a recognized funeral home to be a salesman. The car business has treated me very well but is DEAD now due to the way things are and I would like to get into something where people have to buy the product. I made 62k my first year in car sales. Not half that this year. What you think?

I have been involved in various aspects of the car sales for over twenty year. I have owned my own auto consulting business, and worked for dealerships as both a salesperson and a manager. I was recently canned for not selling enough cars (not too surprising given the economy). I need to find a new job but would like something new. Any suggestions?

I came across an ad for a car dealership in my area that says they have a $3000 signing bonus and I'm not sure exactly what they mean. Does that mean if they hire you they give you three thousand dollars after you join them? Are there any terms on it like on how many cars you have to sell or else you pay it back?
