My class is doing mock interviews to understand the interview process. The group I'm part of decided to (hypothetically) be a panel (made up of Human Resources Manager, District Manager, General Manager, and Sales Manager) looking for a Assistant Store Manager. I'm in need of questions that would actually be asked for this position. I would need a minimum of 3 questions and a maximum of 10 questions. Please reply to this message AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

My friend went for an interview for a sales manager position with a rival company. During the interview my friend was asked if he would consider a sales rep positon if he was unsuccessful in applying for the manager position. My friend said that it would depend on the offer. My pal was offered the lower position yesterday but is not interested in accepting it because the offer is not better than what he is getting at his current position with the rival company. What would be the best way to turn down this offer.

A very good friend of mine who is also a sales manager just informed me that he passed on 2 sales people because they were not technically advanced enough for him. I guess they did not know fully how to use the likes of Sales Force or something similar. What's your thoughts on this? I see people like him getting too caught up in "tracking" this - that and the other and wanting good sales people to fully understand the insides and out of how to use a computer.... The job he is hiring for is NOT computer type sales job by the way.. Would you not hire a great sales person because they weren't pros at salesforce or computer technology in general?

I work in an office where the dress code is shirt and tie with jacket. Since I joined the company i have never worn a tie (because i find it restricting) but do wear the company logo shirt and jacket. I feel i do the job as well as i would if i wore a tie. However, a new general sales manager has joined the company who appears to be a disciplinarian. My question is, if asked to wear a tie, can i refuse on the grounds that i have not been wearing a tie for the last 6 months and that no senior manager has questioned me about it before and also that i can do my job just as effectively without wearing a tie?

OK so the counselors at the school took us to get a survey so we can see what type of career might fit us best and give us a sense of direction towards what we might want to be, our career or job, whatever's. I got a bunch of jobs in enterprise section? It was like a bunch of manager style jobs- general manager, sales manger, etc like at least 5 types of managers along with a bunch of other jobs that didn't really pay good, though. That was what I was expecting to get, kind of head honcho jobs, and the average pay for all of them seem to be good, and I like that, most didn't require too much college/university, but what I wanna ask from someone who might know something about the subject, is if that is something you want to do for a living or is it a frustrating job, boring, something that gets old way to quick? PLZ help I don't want to go too far off in the something that might be different than what I expected.

The builer and sale managers never mentioned the retaining wall. After the foundation is created, we found that from the foundation line/base to the fence line/base, total long is about 20 feet and sloped elevation is 3feet 2 inches. Would you please let us know who should pay this retaining wall?

I worked as an Internet Sales Manager at a large auto dealership in MA. My boss hired an asst and wanted her to assist me. She wanted my job and harrassed me by email and making my life hell. I spoke to managerment and they said that s just the way she is (high strung). I also rec'd emails from the General Manager, who hates gays. I couldn't take any more, at the end of April, I left my job. Should I just forget about it and move on? I do good work and can get another similar job, but I am still devastated. This went on for 4 months. I want to set up a website with all this info, pls, I need your honest opinion. Thank you

Hey guys! So I am currently in college and I got a job at forever 21. Had my interview today and got a call an hour later saying I got the position as a part time sales associate even though I had no retail experience, but I did have plenty of customer server experience. Anyway, I just want to hear from the ones that have worked at Forever or just a clothing store in general what is it like? Typically, how are the co-workers and managers, any helpful tips and advice to be successful in this job, and overall anything I should know beforehand, I will only be keeping it through the summer until I start next school year. Thanks!

I currently work at a corporation run restaurant. I started in the kitchen and within 8 months have learned things that people there years have never learned. I'm the hardest worker and I'll be graduating college in under a year. The assistant general manager and the regional supervisor ABOVE the general manager of the restaurant are both on board with me becoming an assistant manager. However, the general manager of this restaurant is taking his time and is trying to make things seem fair because I've advanced so quickly; even though I deserve it. I've contemplated designing a written paper to my general manager voicing all of the opinions and facts that are surrounding every reason why I should be getting this promotion. Does anyone have any ideas for me? The restaurant is Vinny T's of Boston, if that helps anyone.

I'm choosing coarses to take in my 3rd year of high school...and I'm REALLY interested in advertisting...what's the differece between these two jobs? Which one is harder? I generally have an A average in school. Which should I choose?

There is so many opinions out there about what the difference is between these two and which one has more oppurtunities and so on. I would love to know what the most direct difference is between these two fields, they seem so similar. Obviously the name Operations Manager hints at managing, but to me it seems like it is a more business-like approach to industrial engineering.
