My brother has been a sales manager for a large retail chain, selling electronics and large appliances for 4 years. Prior to that he was a sales manager for Circuit City for 3 years. He has decided he is DONE with retail. He is looking for a job with better hours. He does not have a college degree and cannot get one with his current scedule, but is willing to go back to school if he can get his hours down to around 40 with consistant days off. He's very smart and has done a great job for his employer, the only problem is the hours. What kind of jobs are available for someone with lots of experience with technology, sales and management but with no degree to back it up. The pay has to be atleast 40K and that would be taking a 10 to 15K pay cut for him.] Can anyone make any suggestions for a career move? You obviosly didn't understand the question. I know what's next if he stays with his current employer, but he wants out of retail!

I'm doing a little research on what builders are currently paying community sales managers. I found that Ryan Homes pays 20K salary plus 1?f sales. Prospect pays 2?hen no other agent is involved or 1.5?hen working with a buyers agent. Does anyone know about other builders- small and big? Also, wanted to find out specifically about Centex Homes.

I'm currently a sales manager at a retail mattress company. I want to make a career change but I feel suck since my job experience is mostly sales. I recieved a bachelors in 03 and a masters in 05 (altheic administration) but since I didn't go work in my field of study the degree seems useless now. I'm good at sales but I really do not like the pressure, your only good as your last sale and there's no growth in my company. Can someone like myself in retail sales make a career change? If so what career's?
