 | I want to work with a research team and study organisms and their habitats and teach the public about conservation of marine life. But not sure what degree I would need. Someone told me to go for Bachelors in Biology and branch into marine/environmental science. Is that true?

 | I've always wanted a job as an animal caretaker/trainer (NOT a vet) such as those seen on shows like "Growing Up" on Animal Planet. However, I've had a hard time finding out any information about this job, such as the official job title, job requirements, average pay, etc. If there is any information people have from experience, or if anyone knows any resources for additional information it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! =)

 | I see scientists on tv that rebuild dying coral reefs. I love water, snorkeling and diving. What career could I pursue that would allow that? Something that requires a college degree.

 | Ok, so i live in the UK and i'm currently in my first year of AS and it's about that time i need to start thinking about my future. First of all, i am unsure of what degree to do. Currently my ideal job would be something that would involve working with animals however i do tend to change my mind a lot. My first question is should i do i general biology degree or something more specific such as zoology?
I have done some research into working with animals but i haven't got very far. I know that these kinds of jobs don't tend to offer very high pay. So i was wondering what the best sort of career would be if i wanted to work with animals and also what sort of career working with animals would give offer a higher salary than the others. Also, what other careers would be available to me with my biology degree that could also be interesting and offer a lot of pay?
TL;DR:
Should I do Biology or zoology?
What hands on careers are there with animals?
What careers with animals get paid a lot?
What other careers are there in biology that are interesting and have high pay?
Thank you to anyone who takes the time to help :)

 | So I absolutely love biology, and I was wondering what kind of jobs I could get with a biology major. I used to want to be a nurse, but then I realized that that is more taking care of people, and not really looking at the science part of it. I kinda want to do something with medical research, and I'm really good with genetics particularly. Im just kinda worried about the job outlook aspect of it, like how hard it will be to find a job and that kind of stuff.

 | 1) I know that zoologists/animal psychologists(behaviorists) work with animals and stuff, but what exactly do they do? Do they simply study animals and make new findings, or are there different kinds of jobs for them?
2) What are the qualifications to become a zoologist/animal psychologist(behaviorist)? What subjects should you take? How many years does it take in university to finish a Zoology/Animal Psychology course?

 | My niece is sure she doesn't want a traditional 'office job' and is not academic enough to be a vet but really wants to work with animals. She doesn't care about unsociable hours or getting dirty, just about animals and their well-being.

 | Obviously most serious research jobs are out without more education, but I'd like more options. Teaching (elementary or high school) is the only one I could think of. Thanks.

 | I'm planning on going to school to become a Wildlife Conservationist. I've checked the Occupational Outlook Handbook and other sites, but I cannot seem to find how someone with a Bachelor's in Wildlife Conservation can get a job.
Anybody know any Conservationists, or know what kind of companies (Federal/State gov.) hire wildlife conservationists?

 | The pathway also provides excellent general training as a scientist, enabling you to work in the field or in the laboratory for a wide range of organisations. Potential employers include: government agencies, environmental consultancies, wildlife conservation organisations, and educational and research establishments. The course may also lead on to further postgraduate study and a research career.
That's what it says but what are the specific jobs in the UK? e.g: Name of a wildlife conservation
