 | Environmental Specialists for say, the EPA
Environmental Consultants (environmental scientists and engineers)
Environmental Managers
Environmental Lawyers
I am curious about entry level salaries for consultants and specialists, and with a masters degree for managers and a J.D. for environmental lawyers. assume little prior work/internship experience
also, what is the future looking like for such jobs? will they be in high demand?
I am only looking for answers THAT ACTUALLY HELP. ADS DON'T HELP ME, SO DON'T BOTHER POSTING THEM

 | Hello folks,
I have an interview tomorrow with an engineering firm in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. The title of the position I will be interviewing for is technical assistant/ field technician. Honestly, I really don't care how much they pay me. What I am really hoping to get from working for them is the experience. I want to learn and become a more competent environmental specialist in the future. Money is at the bottom of my list. However, I know I will likely be asked to give them a salary range. This is one of the toughest question for me. If I say 35000 to 45000, would that be a good range for a technical assistant/ field technician in Edmonton, Alberta?
Thank you in advance!!

 | I have read the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, a DEP handbook designed to inform Small Quantity Generators of rules and regulations, and also read chapters in the Federal Administrative Code. Anyone have experience with this position (or know what it entails) and want to offer up their advice to help me land the job?! Thanks!

 | I have a degree in geography, and I would like to know if that would be sufficient for a job as an environmental scientist or sustainability specialist, or something like that?

 | Okay, so - my main goal is to do something to help the world/people/animals (like many people!) I considered becoming a doctor, but I am not sure that's for me. (Making decisions is not my strong point!) So, I have considered an environmental sciences major. Would this be practical? Would environmental engineering be better? ANY suggestions? I am interested in stuff like the Peace Corps.
The only problem with engineering is I don't really care how things work... I want to go out and make a difference.

 | I went on their web site and it didn't explain as well as I thought it would. The job that I am most interested in is law enforcement but I want to join full time, so that rules out port security. I would like to get involved with the law enforcement boats dealing with immigrants and drug. I would like to obtain a job with Border Patrol or with the DEA when im done with my tour. What jobs with the coast guard will help with what I want to do.
