 | I am getting alot of negative responses about becoming a marine biologist. from what i'm hearing, it's competitive and there's not alot of demand for marine biologists. In my opinion there will be more job opportunities in the future because of how people killing the planet by driving cars and polluting the enviroment. If a marine biologist is a bad job would an oceanographer be a good alternative? if not what are better alternatives that are similar?

 | I have wanted to be a marine biologist for a long time. I am only thirteen but I want to prepare for the future. I am getting scuba certified over the summer so that I can prepare myself, but I still feel like I could do more. I would like some information on the job. | I want to become a marine biologist and I need to know the best classes to take for each year of high school to get ahead of all of my competition, because there are about 5 or more people just in my grade that want the same occupation I want. I have also heard that it is a tough job to get because a lot of people want it. Anyway thanks for your answers.
