I was in the marine reserves. I graduated MP school in 2003 and served in Iraq 2 times doing various missions such as combat foot patrols and vehicle patols. IED Sweeps. Detainee transportation. Entry control point security and searching suspected insurgents everyday. I'm just curious how much this will help me get a corrections officer job. Or do i still have to take classes and get a certificate.

I know a person that lies, steals & cheats in business and personal life. He is not trustworthy. He bragged he now has a job as a corrections officer in the Texas jail system. This is the same person that was cheating/caught by their employer at turning in a false mileage sheet. How is it possible for any person to work in the criminal justice system, no matter what their values ? Any ideas?

Hello, I have an interview soon for the position of corrections officer for a federal facility in Minnesota. I was wondering what type of questions will be asked in this initial interview? Are they going to be commonly asked interview questions, or different from the usual because of the job at steak? I would love for the answer to come from someone who is currently a corrections officer, or from someone who has been there and done that. Also, any tips on how to answer?
