I hear it is pretty competitive right now, but it sounds like a great job. So if you had training at like, a community college or something, how hard would it be to get a job in that general area?

A month ago had a grease fire in the kitchen, son was heating up oil for french fries, left unattended. Fire department had to come, fire investigators. Landlady looked into condo insurance and had them come out. Now we, me and my son have to pay deductible which is 2500.00. I am not working, he lost his job the day of fire. Want to move but she went and got a civil action from court incase we move out. They have not been good landlords, took 3 yrs to get hood for stove but went up in the fire. If we move I am afraid that it will mess up my son's credit, he want sto eventually buy house, only 19 right now. Landlady would take out line of credit and we pay monthly for about 6 months to pay off. Is it worth it, that is once he finds a job. Everyone in my family is saying move, but I don't know, I want to but not sure what consequences be with the court judgement, not for me my son.

That is, how can he clean house, given that the President usually can't fire Bush-era appointees at independent agencies. What tools will he have at his disposal to clean house in these agencies and restore the public trust in regulatory and scientific agencies? For example, how can he get rid of the auto and energy lobbyists now running the EPA, or chemical company lobbyists who are now in charge with regulating chemical companies? And so on...

I worked at this job way back when I was 17, I'm 25 yrs old now. Apparently I was written up with a very bad review and got fired without ever being noticed. I always understood the reason for my departure was becase the department where I used to work at closed down and so they never called me back to work. I just sat home waiting for a phone call but I never recieved one. Not even a phone call asking me to return the uniform. This is costing me a potential career right now because I wrote down on an application that I never got fired from that job. An investigator obtained HR paperwork from that past employer and it is not matching what I said on my current application. This is making me look like I flat out lied on my appication when infact I wrote down erroneous information because they failed to notify me that I was fired. Is this good reasons to pursue a lawsuit?

The Obama administration is finally opening an investigation into war crimes during the administration of G. W. Bush. This investigation is just that, not a persecution. However, if the investigators determine that high officials indeed ordered torture (Bush? Cheney?), then I believe that they should be prosecuted as war criminals. If we do not, we are hypocritical vis a vis Nuremburg and the Slavic trials among others.

My divorce with my son's mother will be official once the waiting period is over at the end of this month. We both share joint legal and physical custody of our son and have a court approved parenting agreement. His mother and I separated about 2 years ago and she has been in an off again on again relationship with a very unstable, dead beat kind of guy. He steals from her and the children, at times verbally abuses my son's half brother, neglects to pay rent and other bills, and has the maturity of an overgrown 12 year-old. My ex and this guy tend to break up every few months when she gets tired of his antics. Every time they break up things get turned upside down. My ex will quit her job or get fired , go into a depression, get behind on bills, etc. The last time they broke up (a few months ago) she felt she needed to change the locks on the apartment because he was continually harassing her. I decided to hire a private investigator to track this guy because I knew it was only a matter of time before he would be back. The investigator posed as a customer at this guys work and made small talk with him and the guy admitted to living with my and my son again. I would like to eventually prove that there off again on again relationship turns my son's world upside down and that the the cycle is unhealthy for him. Is it legal for an investigator to be tracking this guy and to be talking with him? I want to prove that him coming and going is creating an unstable situation for my son.

Near Visalia (for those who dont know, its about an hour or so away from Fresno) I need information on becoming a Social Worker. I want to work in Child Protective Services. I need to know: schooling, what colleges you recommend, how long it will take, what the actual job is like, salary and anything else you think I should know before deciding completely to go into this field of work.
