I've always had the goal to become a law enforcement officer. Nothing would make more satisfied than to protect and to help. I recognize that a police officer is an occupation that as been described as long hours, low pay, and with that, you are looked down upon by a good amount of the population. I, however, do not care about that, because I've always wanted to do this. I go to college in DC right now working on my International Affairs BA. Do you think I have a good chance of completing my goal?

This is something that i have been wanting to know for a long time and that is how comes there are no women commerical airline pilots. I have done alot of travelling and have taken dozens of flights and on every single one of those flights both the pilots have been men. After all women are equal to men and there isn't anything that they can't do that men can do. There are many women which have skilled jobs such as doctors lawyers engineers physicists etc and there are women serving in the armed forces such as the military and navy and even the airfocre and there are women police officers women paramedics and women fire officers. Those are all skilled jobs but for some reason there are no women working as commercial airline pilots, there have been women pilots i know but none of them have ever worked for a commercial airline. So why is this ?

I just watched an episode of Criminal Minds and I found the work EXTREMELY interesting. I was set on becoming a psychiatrist, but now I'm thinking of changing career paths. What different types of jobs are there in criminal justice? Which ones pay the most? Also, I'm just going into high school next year. What types of courses should I take if I plan on doing this and what will I major in in college? Thanks so much

Trying to decide on one, aha. I'm leaning towards Regional so i don't get posted somewhere, but i want to hear all of the info before i make my decision. Is the pay better with the RCMP? do they provide more opportunity and advancement? is the training between the two similar? Do they both handle the same things? Anything you know about either will help, thanks. I'de be going Halifax Regional Police, by the by.

I'm trying to figure out what the title would be of the job that the agents do in Criminal Minds. I thought that Forensic Psychologist would be close because they analyze the behavior of the criminals in order to predict future crimes. But after researching it says that that profession usually just appears in court to help people's cases. Also, what college majors would support this?
