I obtained my medical marijuana card about a year ago because of my OCD, anxiety, and sleep and eating disorders. however i am taking fire fighting classes in college to become a smoke jumper. Do federal jobs not comply with state laws when it comes to something like this?

I want to finish a University course (something based around science) and then I am thinking about becoming a firefighter. If I start training at 21-24 (depending on what I do in University) when will I be qualified to be one? I know it is a very physically demanding job so what age do firefighters go up too? Or do the more experienced firefighters become mangers or something? PS - Money is not a huge issue as long as it is enough.

How difficult on a scale of 1-10 is it do become a firefighter at the age of 25 with no prior firefighting experience? What is the room for growth throughout the career of a firefighter? I ship out in October, but have been unable to sign a contract because October is the beginning for the new fiscal year for the USMC. I am wondering when the jobs have been posted in the past years. I want to join 03** and it would put me at some type of ease if someone could tell me when the post-Oct jobs have been posted in the past. I have been told that I can be a "smoke-jumper" because I am 26, and I would love to leave ASAP, but obviously I would never be called up if I have never even signed a contract.

A violent criminal past in someones 20's is now over. Give this reformed criminal a glock, a badge and some sensitivity training...and then let him go after the bad guys. Wouldn't the reformed criminal be more tolerant of crooks, and be better at catching them? Dog Bounty Hunter was a convicted murderer, and he does a great job catching bond jumpers, and lecturing them to jeezuss. Give reformed criminals their guns back, and a badge...what do you think?
