Why can't a coroner unable to remove the drug vital clutched in the suicide victim's hand?

Can someone help me explain why this is so?
If the victim had been discovered three days later, would the coroner have had the same difficulty?

It's actually pretty easy even if they are squeezing on the vial.
Rigormortis does make it difficult but generally when the person dies the muscles relax (first you say it and then you do it (old Bill Cosby joke)) and anything in their hand will likely fall out and be on the floor or couch around them.

...and in all honesty if someone is committing suicide, and is not looking for attention, the pill bottle will be found in either the garbage can or back in the cabinet.
