	Why is it that elevator inspection deadlines are never enforced? Every single time I get in an elevator I look at the last inspection date, and it seems as though the permits have always expired. Most of them have expired six months to a year ago! Why is this? Who exactly is in charge of making sure the elevator is inspected in a timely manner and why do they fail to do their job properly? Is there some sort of elevator inspection mafia that controls the whole operation and that will off me once they see that someone has spoken out against them and their inability to adhere to deadlines?
