I have worked in a metal fabrication shop on and off for 2 years using shears press brake rolls saws drills and other machines and I have some slight on site welding experience. (Not a professional welder) I have fork truck and overhead crane experience and can obtain a class b cdl at anytime ( my uncle has a truck I can use and know how to drive already) I work very hard and can lift around 100lbs with general ease. I would like to work as a truck driver possibly or anything pretty much as long as it pays 15hr and above as that's what I previously made as a metal fabricator

I'm a 21 yr old diabetic. Currently I work a full-time job as a fabricator and that's how I have insurance and afford my supplies. I want to go back to school though and get away from the fabrication field. My mother is remarried and is on my step-dads insurance and I don't know my real dad so I can't get on his. I'm kinda stumped here and don't want this to hold me back from going to school. Anyone have a similar problem? Possibly a solution?

We just moved into our house that has dark grey corian countetops. The problem is that the entire surface is very dull with no shine. When I wipe them there are huge streaks after they dry. I have tried using furniture polish on them but it is only temporary and does not do that great of a job.

Qualification Gained if I Become a ""fabricator"" Military Engineer (Combat) Class 3 Level 2 NVQ in Fabrication and Welding Engineering Progression Award in Engineering Principles Military Engineer (Fabricator) Class 2 Level 2 NVQ Performing Engineering Operations Qualification Gained if I Become a ""Metalsmith"" VRQ Level 2 Technical Certificate Level 3 Certificate in Engineering (Fabrication and Welding) NVQ Level 2 Performing Engineering Operations I don't really care if one take longer to be trained for and don't really care what the differences are. But what I do care about is which one is more likely to get me employed when/if I ever decided to leave the British army. In my opinion i get fewer but better qualifications through being a metalsmith. but the fabricator is a more commonly used job title in the industry, And all the metalsmithing I have read about and watched videos of seems to be making jewellery and that's not what I would want to do if I left the army, I would want to become a welder/fabricator/engineer of some sort. Any Advice?

I have been offered a position with a racing team as a fabricator. I have always worked as a W-2 employee in the past. Are there anythings I need to be aware of before I accept the job? I'll be a 1099 employee and expected to pay my own tax liability. Are there additional deductions I can take in this position? Thanks.

This is the second time I posted this question, but I made a mistake the first time and wrote $90,500. LOL! I guess that explains why people's answers was so sarcastic and rude. Anyways, I dropped out of high school in the 9th grade back in 1993. And because of circumstances and personal problems, I've never worked (except for 2 months as a fabricator). Is there any hope for a person like myself (with no real experience) to find a job that pays at least $19,500 a year? Or am I just dreaming? And please, don't be rude in your answers. This is a serious situation I'm in.
