 | Im starting a supervisor job at Wal-Mart and Im wondering if in my position a forklift operator license would get me a raise. On top of that Im wondering how much that raise might be if I would get one. I have heard that when in a position of shipping and receiving that it is almost mandatory for them to give a decent raise to anyone wielding said license.

 | I am helping my husband make a resume, and I am not sure how or if I should list an education section. He dropped out of school about 5 years ago in the 11th grade, and is currently taking GED courses (he just started). He expects to be finished with it in about 6 months.
He is going to be applying for warehouse/forklift operator jobs that, for the most part, don't require a diploma/GED. He also has 1 year of relevant work experience and several years of other experience.
Should I omit the education section? If not, what's the best way to list a GED in progress?

 | I work with this company that has a job offer as just a regular forklift operator and or driver (which will pay more then I'm making right now). The requirement is a forklift license in which the company doesnt pay for or train you. So can I go to the dmv and schedule a class? Or is it a written test? I use to work at a storage place that didn't give a crap and let me ride their forklift if other people needed help.

 | The intermodal and warehousing industry is one of the biggest industries in Savannah with plenty of warehousing and forklift operator jobs. The local technical college doesn't list anything about forklift training on their website. Are there any companies willing to train me and hiring me also?

 | I've been doing many warehouse jobs from forklift operator, assembly, inspector, loading and unloading, picking, packing, quality assurance. I guess all I need is to move up the management ladder but I know I wont get too far up since I don't have the proper education. So I've been considering hvac or machinist CnC programmer. I've been looking on the Internet and seen many negative reviews about machinist jobs. Or the other option i have is to get trained and get a CDL and drive locally for a mining company?

 | A lot of people I hear get these scholarship things that pay their college. How can I get me one of those? I am 22 and looking to take some college courses to get a career. I previously worked as a cook at a restaurant and now I am a forklift operator at a warehouse. Both jobs are low pay so I need a college degree to make more money. How do I get a scholarship?
No Mr. Adams I'm serious. I need to go to college.
