 | Suppose that such people are without any health issues and they have the necessary technical skills, if any.

 | I have worked a lot of jobs....restaurants, sales, tutoring. I want to make money this summer, and am willing to work hard, but feel disillusioned at working a ridiculous amount of hours at a fast food place again to make a minimal amount of money. This summer, I need to find a good way to make money. Any suggestions? (No get-rich-quick make money fast scams!)

 | I am not sure why we do not use our train system more than we do. Sure it is slower, but would it save wear and tear on our roads? Also, as much as they can carry wouldn't it cut on pollution. It could easily carry the load of 40 trucks?

 | Okay so I was going to enlist into the Army, but they won't take me. And the Navy is the only branch that will. So I WANTED to be a 11 b Infantryman or a 21 b Combat Engineer in the Army. Does the Navy have any MOS's like that. Ones that involve combat or weaponry?

 | I am a 17year old Male. I have been searching a job for months! I need a job so I can start earning an income to move out sometime next year and to head off to college, get a car, ect. I don't see why I can't get hired. Everyone in my school has either had a chance for a job or has one yet I can't get one! Yes, I am currently not in school anymore and going for my GED so I probably get put more on the bottom of the application lists, but I at least should have a chance for an interview I would think. I have a very open and flexible schedule. Able to work any day or the week and any hours of the day. I am hard working and dedicated when I have my heart set on something like a job. I am devoted and motivated to work hard and ensure customers satisfaction and everything, yet I can't seem to even get a job at a fast food restaurant like McDonalds or any retail stores. I mean I get that you have more of a chance to get a job with job experience before, but how can I have it if no place is willing to give me the chance to have it or show them how good I can be towards working? I guess my question that I need support on is how can I make myself stand out from others? Show a place that they would have been happy to hire me? Is there any sites I can go on to help support me finding a job? I just need steps on how to get a chance for a job or at least an interview.

 | Ok.
I am from Australia. Soon, i will be filing for an adjustment of status to US resident..then of course..the waiting game..the.. i will have my greencard.
My wife and i have been talking and i was thinking of joining the Army after i receive residency status. Most of my life i spent driving forklifts and working in a storage environment.
What are your experiences with the US Army? Would there be..say..room for people like me?
I am 27..by the time i get my greencard..i will probably be 29.

 | I need to have a non-running car removed from the upper deck of auto transporter semi truck. The car has a key, rolls and steers but for does not run as the key needs to mated to immobilizer. It sits on the upper deck, above truck cabin. I wanted to have it pushed and roll down withe help of friends (it is stick shift), but the trucker does not want this because of safety concerns. Says the car needs to be unloaded with forklift. Dealerships and mechanics I called dealerships and mechanics around but they don't have forklift. Wonder if anyone has idea where I need to call, or if there is other way to unload it, like pull with a winch. Thank you

 | My boyfriend has been a labourer since he was about 17 (he is 21 now) at the same company and in the last year he has started to really hate his job.
His back is a mess from lifting all day yet they won't put him on the forklift even though he has a fork license which peeves him off quite abit, especially when he sees outside hire people on the fork day in day out.
Alot of the people he works with are slack and make the job harder for him by not doing there bit and he often has to stay back because someone has left early and not done something.
He needs a new job, I think personally he needs a new career something where he isn't lifting 30kg boxes all day as the last thing I want is for him to wreck his back but Im not sure what he can do.
He dropped out of high school in year 10 so he doesn't have VCE pass behind him and the only tertiary qualifications he has is he was a chef's apprentice for a week.
The other issue is being a labourer pays well, he brings home $1,000 a week so for him to move it would need to be something with similar pay.
Any suggestions on a good job for him? He's great with people and holds himself very well and has lovely manners too.

 | I am a welder/mechanic and I haven't moved all my tools to a new job, like a multimeter. A small older forklift, no ecm, would not start so I cleaned the dirty! terminals, grounds, connections to starter and solenoid(they were together), nothing. So I put a non-LED test light on the battery, it was dim. Then I tested the starter's ground and the solenoid's positive, same light. Then I pulled the wire from the solenoid and checked it with the test light, when I hit the ignition switch it glowed dim, like the other tests. Having no other test tools, I pulled up the shop's service truck and jumpered it off, and it started, I ran it for about 15 minutes on the jumpers and went to pull the cables, and the forklift shut off at once the + was off. So I started it back up, waited a little and pulled the negative off first, and it still shut off immediately.
I'm assuming that the battery would hold no charge whatsover(all the cells were full, though). and that the f/l depended on the shop truck, but for battery or alternator? The boss said we'll fix it tomorrow. I thought that I should have checked the batt voltage if I could have, tried to charge the battery alone, unconnected, if needed, then put it in and checked charging voltage of the f/ls alternator. We had other batteries that were new but a different style connection post and size, same voltage, but not practical to switch over just for a test.. Please advise. If they ask tomorrow, I'd like to tell them It seemed as though the forklift acted fine with the trucks system, but if it had that battery would the alt. keep it charged?
